The Ivy at Great Falls Director of Nursing ( Skilled Nursing Facility ) in Great Falls, Montana

Ivy at Great Falls is looking for a Director of Nursing for a caring, compassionate, and patient-focused skilled nursing facility. Our client is a small skilled nursing facility in Charlotte Area seeking a leader to transform their quality of care. We are seeking a nursing leader who can build up a team, lead them to success, and provide high quality care to the facility residents. Potential candidates should posses proven experience in leading teams of RNs, LPNs, and CNAs. They should know how to build up team members and empower them to provide high quality care to our residents. Our client is not looking just for a manager. They are looking for a leader who can guide a team of hard working healthcare professionals to provide the best care.

Responsibilities

  • Control nursing budgets and monitor the department's expenditures

  • Set objectives and long term goals for the nursing department

  • Develop, coordinate, and organize admissions, nursing, and patient care policies and procedures

  • Develop, direct, and empower all nursing personnel (RNs, LPNs, MTs, and CNAs)

  • Hire, terminate, and build a strong nursing staff

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and professionals to streamline operations

  • Serves as a clinical resource and foster a positive work environment that supports and motivates the clinical team

  • Develop and implement new company policies and programs regarding best clinical practices and resident care plans

  • Maintain a high level of clinical competency, including on-going awareness of clinical best practices to align regulatory requirements and organizations strategic plans

  • Other responsibilities as needed

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Director of Nursing

  • Working knowledge of local, state, and federal laws regarding skilled nursing

  • Experience building a team of hard working and trustworthy healthcare professionals

  • Problem solving skills

  • Great communication skills with team members and family members

  • Excellent communicator with ability to handle concurrent tasks and responsibilities

  • Strong ability to lead and develop your team

Experience

  • 5 years of RN experience (required)

  • 2 years of DON Experience (required)
