What you will be doing at Woodard & Curran:
An Environmental Engineer is typically assigned specific tasks on project teams and is expected to use their knowledge to resolve the problems and tasks they are transferred under the mentorship of senior staff. Fieldwork, data management, report writing, and interaction with project staff will play an essential role in the candidate's success.
Collecting samples of soil, groundwater, and other environmental media in support of site investigation and remediation objectives.
Installing monitoring wells, performing remediation monitoring, and overseeing contractors.
Assist field investigations and provide construction oversight by following safety policies, thoroughly understanding specifications, and documenting contractor activities and safety procedures.
Assisting in preparing various regulatory submittals, technical memorandums, and/or engineering design reports.
Managing, analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting data for use in reports and other visualizations, including maps, charts, and 3D models.
Candidate should be a self-starter and possess solid technical fieldwork and writing skills to support a wide range of science and engineering projects.
A successful candidate will also be detail-oriented, have excellent verbal communication skills combined with a positive attitude, and can work independently and within teams.


What you will need to succeed:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field from an accredited program. M.S. preferred.
A minimum of one year of relevant professional experience.
Experience working around construction equipment and/or in a construction environment.
Familiarity with and a working knowledge of CERCLA.
