Cannot be afraid of heights, working in the dark & getting dirty.Employment contingent upon completing and passing both post-offer drug test and physical demands assessment.The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining all factory equipment. This includes trouble-shooting, repairs, equipment installations, ordering parts, and communicating and training with Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) technical support. Pasta Montana team members are expected to have on-time, regular, reliable, and predictable attendance and must always be aware and pay attention to their surroundings.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1.Performs Preventive Maintenance (PM) and repairs on all equipment in the facility with the ability to recognize and correct deficiencies in the equipment conditions.2.Performs general plumbing, electrical, welding, fabrication, mechanical, pneumatic, heating and air handling repairs that does not require a specialized technician.3.Uses maintenance software to document work activity and understands and operates automated manufacturing systems.4.Follows and complies with all Pasta Montana processes, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP and BRC procedures.5.Communicates efficiently and effectively with all co-workers and departments. 6.Maintains a safe, clean and organized work environment.7.Ability to self-motivate and prioritize work tasks.8.Demonstrates prompt and effective interaction with all internal customers.9.Utilizes critical thinking skills and troubleshooting techniques to identify and correct problem.10.Able to perform duties in a high temperature environment; temperatures range from 85 to 160 degrees Fahrenheit, with 35%-50% humidity. Must be able to perform duties in high, tight, cramped, and dark spaces.11.Assists in the training of new employees.12.Strives for Continuous Improvement.13. Maintains equipment: proper usage, cleanliness, storage, and accountability.14.Responsible for working as an individual and working efficiently and effectively with co-workers and other departments. 15.Performs quality work utilizing the correct tools and equipment for the job. 16.Performs other duties as assigned by Maintenance Crew Lead and/or Maintenance Manager. QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum Education:High school diploma or equivalent.Minimum Experience: 2-years maintenance experience, preferably in an industrial environment. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Thorough knowledge of general plumbing, electrical, welding, fabrication, mechanical, pneumatic, heating and air handling repair. Ability to read blueprints, building plans and repair manuals. Ability to correctly use hand and power tools. Knowledge of packaging principles, processes and good manufacturing practices. Understanding of personnel and safety standards. Able to function as a motivated team member in a highly dynamic environment. Able to work and communicate effectively in a team setting. Able to learn, troubleshoot and multi-task. Must be trainable, teachable, reliable, honest, trustworthy, and motivated. Other Qualifications:Ability to use computer automated systems and software.
