Job Description

The Senior Community Service Employment Program offers seniors the opportunity to demonstrate their work ethic, enthusiasm, loyalty and life experience empowering them to improve their economic self-sufficiency. The SCSEP Payroll Specialist works with both the SCSEP Project Director and SCSEP Project Coordinator regarding payroll for SCSEP participants. This position is responsible for understanding ethical behavior and business practices; must establish and maintain positive working relationships; communicate effectively; and foster teamwork.

  • Monitors and provides feedback to ensure program compliance for required forms.

  • Completes all required paperwork and data collection requirements.

  • Delivers satisfaction surveys.

  • Adheres to weekly and monthly program deadlines.

  • Compiles accurate spreadsheets for In-Kind tracking and ESG payroll and submits within timelines.

  • Enters data accurately and timely in SPARQ and Salesforce

  • Provides administrative support to local Employment Specialists as needed.

  • Works to provide customer first service to internal customers in all interactions.

  • Demonstrates ability to prevent personal troubles/frustration from affecting interactions with teammates.

  • Communicates regularly with employment specialist to ensure accurate and timely timesheet submission.

Wage: $16.00/hour

Required Skills

  • Excellent oral, written, organizational and record keeping skills.

  • Working knowledge of community resources and employers.

  • Experience working with persons with diverse backgrounds.

  • Proven interviewing, counseling, and customer service skills.

  • Ability to move from one task to another quickly and to manage change with a positive attitude.

Required Experience

  • High School/Equivalent

  • Degree in social services or related field - preferred, but not required.

  • 3-5 years proven experience with job development and/or employment placement.

  • Proven time management skills

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to move independently or with reasonable accommodation within the facility and community.

  • Applicant must be physically and mentally able to perform all requirements of the job.

  • Applicant must pass a background and DMV check.
