Our work depends on a Project Manager with Data Center Experience joining our team to support our software development and support contract. This a REMOTE BASED ROLE. Candidate must live in the U.S.
At GDIT, we put our people first. As a Project Manager with Data Center Experience supporting Indian Health Services you will be trusted to work with clinicians, developers, and federal staff to document changes and requirements for clinical applications and solutions.
In this role, a typical day will include these tasks:
Analyze user and stakeholder needs to determine functional requirements for a wide variety of electronic health record systems.
Perform functional allocations to identify user tasks and their inter-relationships.
Research, identify, and recommend resources required for task execution and completion.
Serve as technical advisor to clients in assigned subject areas, recommend functional changes, and identify areas for further investigation.
Generate recommendations in the form of technical briefings, reports, and other major documents provided to senior level client personnel.
Consult with clients to determine optimum solution design for assigned projects.
Write and update project documentation including user manuals, presentations, and training materials.
Participate in iterative software development teams with adherence to all reporting requirements.
Respond to inquiries from the client, clinicians, field personnel, developers, and other customers.
Submit status reports to the PMO and/or Lead Analyst, as well as reports on project metrics.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
5+ years of experience with requirements analysis and engineering using SDLC Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
Project Management Professional certification (PMP) or Agile certification such as Scrum Alliance CSM or Scaled Agile SAFe required.
Strong working knowledge of physical IT infrastructures and technical projects associated with Data Center Operations required such as: server, software, and network refresh projects; hardware/software decommissions, new Software roll-outs.
Experience managing change control activities, including product backlogs, scope management, and impact and gap analysis.
Knowledge of system development methodology and project management.
Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
Demonstrated ability to explain technical issues clearly/accurately to technical/non-technical audiences.
Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team with adjusting priorities and deadlines.
Understanding of Agile processes and the related QA lifecycle.
Proven ability to work on a remote/distributed team.
Security Clearance Level
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Level 5 clearance.
Experience working with electronic health record systems and/or in Health IT (HIT).
Knowledge of the VA and IHS environments, RPMS or legacy VistA.
Working knowledge of Team Foundation Server and/or Azure DevOps.
