Prepare and Review individual and business income tax returns
Contribute to the planning and completion of client engagements by providing individual and business tax services; devise and deliver comprehensive tax strategies and proactively research tax related issues.
Communicate proactively with clients, engagement leaders, and tax associates in an efficient manner
Provide training, direction, motivation, feedback, and supervision to junior staff
Maintain current client relationships while developing the skills to drive client/prospect interactions and potentially generate new tax and business development opportunities
Understand and effectively use current tax and accounting software applications
Research tax related issues and other related financial reports and communicate with client and firm personnel regarding complex accounting matters.
Develop enhanced technical competency and industry specific expertise through CPE, firm/industry group events, webinars, etc.
Prepare and review tax-related information to include tax provisions, depreciation schedules, property tax returns, etc.
Perform client billing.
Interface with multi-disciplined client service teams for account planning.
Perform/participate in inventory observations as needed.
Assist with staff performance evaluations.
Actively participate in community activities and organizations to develop and maintain positive business relationships with community leaders and members.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting; Masters in Tax a big plus!
2-3 years of experience in a public accounting firm
CPA preferred or working towards certification
Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work effectively
Experience balancing many projects simultaneously
Ability to work under pressure and time deadlines
Desire to problem solve
Effective communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal)
Proficient Skills in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
