Apply civil engineering principles and standards to perform and direct engineering tasks that may include:
Transmission and distribution systems
Utility management and assessments
Ensure proper engineering practices and techniques are used by project team by providing direction, review, and support
Effectively complete large-scale and complex projects with minimal support
Demonstrate competency in multiple project phases (studies, master planning, design, construction, etc.)
Assist completing design tasks and construction administration/observation activities
Lead Quality Assurance and Quality Control reviews on multidisciplinary projects to ensure compliance with KLJ quality standards
Instruct, train and mentor group members
Facilitate internal and external meetings
Utilize effective written and oral communication
Serve as engineer of record (EOR), discipline lead, project manager, or client manager and provide overall project oversight
Lead and manage multiple project teams ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget
Provide technical expertise on a wide array of discipline specific projects/project elements including design, specifications, plans, maps, and project execution within the approved schedule and budget
Responsible for the coordination, review and completion of reports, environmental compliance, design calculations, plans, specifications, cost estimates, construction documents
Responsible for coordination and communication with the KLJ team, subconsultants, agencies, contractors and other stakeholders
Provide input on business development strategy and lead project pursuits, proposals and interviews
Assist with client relations outside of specific projects
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited post-secondary institution
PE is required
Demonstrated competency with markets, clients and project execution
Must have a valid driver's license and be able to operate motorized vehicles.
Post graduate degree in specialized field
Certifications in identified specialization
Project Management experience
Client Management experience
Prior Engineering Consultant Experience

This position requires the individual work 40+ hours per week with 80% of the time spent in the office and 20% out of the office.

This estimated salary represents the middle of the range. Factors that may be used to determine actual salary include education (or applicable experience), training, job location, competencies relevant to the role, and internal equity.
