Ravalli County Council on Aging Cook for Meals on Wheels Program in Hamilton, Montana
Make a difference in the lives of local seniors. Our cooks prepare scratch-made meals to be delivered to our homebound seniors as well as served at our congregate meals to promote socialization and avoid isolation.This is a permanent full-time position working approximately 35-40 hours a week. Meal Delivery occurs Monday-Wednesday and Friday, with a congregate meal in Darby occurring every Thursday. Travel to other RCCOA sites and grocery stores is required.On-the-job training and continuing education opportunities will be provided. Food Safety Manager training will be assigned and must be completed in a timely manner. Restaurant experience is not necessary but highly preferred. Only the passion of cooking healthy and nutritious meals from scratch and the desire to help our seniors maintain their independence is needed.Benefits include mileage reimbursement, vacation, a Health Reimbursement Account, and participation in a Simple IRA plan.
