As Facilities Mechanic II, you will be responsible for assisting Supervisors and Leads in performance of daily activities associated with routine and unscheduled maintenance. You will also be responsible for the installation, set-up, preventative maintenance and repair of equipment associated with cGMP manufacturing operations. You will comply with instructions on standard operating procedures and work instructions

Equipment Maintenance: Execute preventive maintenance plans as assigned by the Supervisor and Lead. Focus on training and increasing competency in assigned areas. Work to increase equipment reliability and reduce equipment and production down time. Provide after-hours pager response to alarms on a rotational basis.
Environment Health & Safety: Responsible for application of GSK safety and environmental guidelines. Promote a safety culture; perform work in a manner to ensure safety of co-workers, equipment and self. Remain current on RCRA and DOT training.
Quality & Compliance: Ensure all activities are executed following procedures and GMP quality expectations. Comply with SOP, Batch Record and Departmental Documentation requirements. Attend all mandatory training. Adhere to all GSK Quality Management System (QMS) policies and procedures as applicable for functional area. Ensure compliance and readiness for internal and external inspections and provide adequate support to inspected departments.
Accountability: Execute assigned work in a safe and timely manner. Escalate safety and compliance issues to the Supervisor.
Operational Excellence: Provides support for continuous improvement, industrial excellence through the application of LEAN methodologies. Act as a champion for continuous improvement, leveraging OE tools and processes. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and presents ideas to process owner. Assist in monitoring and reporting of KPI's and metrics.
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
High School Diploma and Combination of 2 years of relevant experience in GMP manufacturing and/or equipment diagnostic and maintenance OR Possession of a BS in science field or training/certification in a technical field
Required to read, write, and familiar with math, computer skills as well as some background in mechanics and/or maintenance.
Have scientific understanding of the manufacturing process and equipment operation and help ensure adequate technical skills.

The role of the facilities technician II is to perform maintenance and serve as an equipment SME. Previous experience in these areas is required.
GMP manufacturing, engineering, equipment maintenance, compliance and personnel supervision.
The focus of this role is on maintenance of GMP and non-GMP equipment maintenance.
This role will be heavily focused on maintenance of solvent systems.
Previous experience with clean utilities, process equipment and/or solvent systems is preferred.
This role will require the use of a full face respirator to perform certain job duties. DOT and RCRA training is required for management of hazardous waste.
