What You’ll Be Doing:

In your role, you will work as part of an admin team to implement, improve, and maintain third-party applications that process and transfer health plan data for consumption by vendors and internal customers. Successful candidates will be self-driven, curious, and expert problem-solvers. Most work will be performed using Edifecs and SQL Server Management Studio.

Candidates based in Chicagoland are preferred for this role. Any candidates located outside of the Chicagoland area must be willing to work within CST hours.

The Experience You’ll Need (Required):

  • 3-5 years of IT application development/support experience

  • Ability to collaborate with team members across time-zones and in multiple time-countries

  • Ability to manage multiple work streams based on prioritization and adaptability to a constantly changing environment

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team of technical and non-technical colleagues

  • Experience operating, monitoring, and maintaining software / applications in production

  • Experience with EDI 5010 formats (specifically 270/271, 276/277, 835)

  • Real-time processing experience

  • Experience utilizing the following applications / technology stacks:

  • Edifecs Operating Rules (OR)

  • Other Edifecs experience (EM, SpecBuilder, STP) a plus

  • Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio

  • MySQL and PostgreSQL experience a plus

  • Experience with SDLC concepts and change-management processes

  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and outstanding problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Web service experience

Finishing Touches (Preferred):

  • Ability to learn and understand complex healthcare roles and regulations and translate business requirements into technical solutions

  • Experience utilizing the following applications / technology stacks:

  • FTP clients / software (WS_FTP, FileZilla, GlobalScape, WinSCP)

  • Managed File Transfer (MFT) systems (MOVEit, GlobalScape EFT, GoAnywhere)

  • Experience working in globally dispersed software product organization

  • Familiar with continuous integration environments (e.g. Jenkins, Bitbucket, etc.)

  • Healthcare/Insurance industry experience

  • JIRA (or similar ticketing system) experience

Technical requirements:

Currently, Evolent employees work remotely across all fifty (50) states temporarily due to COVID-19. As such, we require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 MBPS and, specifically for all call center employees, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. These at-home technical requirements are subject to change with any scheduled re-opening of our office locations.

The typical range of employees within the compensation grade of this position is . Salaries are determined by the skill set required for the position and commensurate with experience and may vary above and below the stated amounts.
