Job Description

The Assistant Vice President Product Pricing is responsible for providing strategic leadership and solutions to drive Prime’s financial governance and direction for products and services. This position will partner with product owners and cross-functional stakeholders, internally and externally, to create product offering combinations that drives value for clients and demonstrates Prime’s unique market position. This position is also accountable for the Low Net Cost product bundle and providing expertise and consultation to internal partners and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and oversight for the financial governance of products and services; work in partnership with analytics to review and develop financial models, evaluate risk and appropriately price core product(s)

  • Collaborate with product owners and key cross-functional stakeholders to effectively package products to drive exceptional value to Prime’s clients; provide pricing governance on new products such as approving guaranteed ROI levels, minimum size requirements, act as the required approver for any ad hoc pricing exceptions, and be accountable for “go/no-go” decisions

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams accountable for actuarial analysis and underwriting to establish a financial offering strategy for financial products, recommend the creation of new packages or bundled product offerings, as appropriate, and ensure consistency between pricing strategies across Prime

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the PBM industry, external marketplace, and Prime’s competitive position; sustain deep knowledge of Prime’s product offerings, value proposition of core offerings, and the short and long-term impacts of recommended solutions and utilize internal and external understanding to internal solutions and need for competitive shifts based on changing market needs

  • Act as product owner for the Low Net Cost offering; work with client engagement, sales, and clinical to develop go to market strategies and consult with clients on product offerings

  • Establish a credible and influential position as a leader on Prime’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and as a trusted expert with key stakeholders across the organization; collaborate with senior leaders to align on product development and business growth objectives and to clearly communicate to cross-functional teams and clients accordingly

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience

  • 12 years of relevant progressive work experience in pharmacy benefit management (PBM), health plan, healthcare consulting, or pharmaceutical industry, including 5 years with relevant financial modeling, analysis or pricing experience

  • 8 years leadership/people management experience

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Additional Qualifications

  • Ability to establish rapport, build relationships, and collaborate effectively across departments and at all levels within the organization

  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and consultative skills; demonstrated ability to distill complex concepts or situations into concise and compelling communications

  • Excellent quantitative, analytical and critical thinking skills; able to synthesize information from multiple sources into actionable plans

  • Proven experience inspiring cross-functional teams to meet business objectives with outstanding results

  • Strong understanding of pharmacy plan design

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business or other related advanced degree

Minimum Physical Job Requirements

  • Ability to travel 10% of time

  • Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear

  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms

  • Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch

  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Reporting Structure

  • Reports to Vice President in the Finance department

Potential pay for this position ranges from $156,000.00 - $249,200.00 based on location, experience and skills.
