We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Senior Accountant with experience in a fast-paced, high growth environment. The workload varies across a broad range of accounting functions, including playing an important role in the day-to-day operations as well as delivering results at the senior level. The candidate will use their technical accounting expertise to execute special projects as they arise that will afford better utilization and support of the Deltek Accounting System. Duties & Responsibilities: + Assist in the preparation of the monthly financial package and ensure all transactions are properly supported and approved. + Perform variance analyses for financial statements and explain fluctuations from month to month, year over year, and against plan. + Support all general ledger tasks including monthly close and journal entries for multiple legal entities. + Perform monthly reconciliations for multiple legal entities of sub ledgers/calculated schedules against general ledger and assess for reasonableness of ending balances. + Cash management; manage daily cash activity for several bank accounts. + Identify possible efficiencies in existing processes and propose solutions. Implement and update policies and procedures, as necessary. + Support year-end internal and external audit. + Provide training to new and existing staff as needed. Required Skills & Experience: + Clearance: None + US citizenship required for work under DoD contracts. + 7+ years of accounting experience required. + 2+ years of leadership experience included. + Experience working with Government Contract regulations (FAR / CAS) + Proficient experience with Deltek Costpoint with a concentration on the Accounting and Projects modules. + Must be detail-oriented and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines. + Strong interpersonal skills. + Strong and effective communication, both written and verbal. + Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills Desired Experience: + Self-starter with ability to learn and excel in fast-paced environment. + Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or relevant years of experience Vaccination is a requirement of the position per Executive Order 14042.
