General Motors LLC Business Strategy Lead - eCommerce in Helena / Helena, Montana

Hybrid: This position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee's role enables them to work at a GM facility or off-site as frequently as needed or desired.

This position requires an employee to be onsite 1-4 x per year.

About the Role:
As an Business Strategy Lead - eCommerce you will be reporting to the Business Strategy Manager and will be working with the newly formed eCommerce Line of Business and will help define GM's strategy for eCommerce and create a world-class shopping experience that bridges the gap between physical and digital retail. This role will inspire the organization to think differently and innovate. You will be key in establishing and executing best-in-class practices for building a fast-growing eCommerce business to deliver online retail experiences in new and exciting ways, defining the product vision, and evangelizing that vision within the broader organization. You will be tasked with assessing a wide range of opportunities and issues - from broad to situational - and providing thought leadership on customer and issue insights, along with their optimal respective solutions. Candidates should demonstrate a progressive track record with a proven ability to solve problems, collaborate and i nfluence across functions, effectively prioritize in an unstructured environment, and always think customer first. The ideal candidate will have a background in eCommerce, thrive in a fast-paced team environment, is data driven and results-oriented, and is inspired to drive strategic decision making and innovation to create a truly frictionless online shopping experience and help drive our eCommerce business.

Key Responsibilities
Drive the development and execution of a robust eCommerce strategy, factoring in industry trends, best practices, competitive strengths/weaknesses, governing policies and regulations to drive continued growth and expansion of GM's eCommerce businesses
Identify/scope/nurture new eCommerce market opportunities, models, and solution gaps; articulate business value and outcomes and build strategies around market requirements
Provide thought leadership and help educate the company to raise the overall eCommerce/Digital IQ
Collaborate with Brand and Product teams to develop vision and strategy for consumer experiences balancing business needs with technological capabilities
Connect with regional markets to develop global eCommerce strategies
Develop and maintain eCommerce playbooks and guides to help regional markets understand what and how to execute eCommerce
Be a "go-to" person to help plan, guide and troubleshoot global and regional eCommerce programs
Leverage eCommerce principles, analytics, and general business expertise to identify opportunities to improve conversion, product page views, cross-sell, up-sell, and add to cart rates, driving incremental engagement, sales, productivity, and profitability
Keep up to date with current technologies and trends including mobile, UX, personalization, AI, analytics, SEO and A/B testing tools/methodologies
Synthesize and present findings and recommendations often to senior leadership and organizational stakeholders as necessary

Required Qualifications
BA / BS in Business, Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, or related fields
5+ years related experience in Management Consulting, Business Operations, Strategy, Partnerships, or related field
2+ years related experience in Digital Retail/Marketing/eCommerce, preferably with proven success at building, maintaining, and scaling eCommerce businesses in/for an Omni-channel business
Strong understanding of digital platforms, eCommerce technology/applications, eCommerce KPIs and their usage
Experience collaborating with multiple levels of stakeholders (including C-Level players both internally and externally) and effectively working with geographically dispersed/global, multi-functional teams and external agency/vendor partners
Comfort with ambiguity to handle the ever-changing digital commerce space and ability to work in self-directed environment with a high sense of ownership and urgency
Relationship skills to create a network of contacts within and outside General Motors

Highly motivated, a self-starter and curious, demonstrating an aptitude for problem solving and ability to quickly learn and add value
Solid project management skills: action oriented, setting clear goals and objectives, working towards deadlines, prioritizing and managing deliverables
Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to transform data into actionable information
Strong presentation and communication skills and ability to tailor communication style, frequency, and approach for multiple audiences, including working teams, colleagues, and senior executives
High proficiency with all Microsoft Office programs

Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree / M.B.A.
Experience working in the subscriptions commerce space, including both technical and business expertise
Expertise in driving customer experience, growth, and engagement for digital products and subscription services
Knowledge of automotive infotainment systems, cellular communications, GPS, and software application developmentDemonstrated knowledge of Design Thinking, Agile Development, Customer Journey Mapping, metrics and data and analyticstools
