ETS is seeking an AI Engineer to join the Product Innovation and Development (PID) team. The PID Division develops AI-based solutions that are built on a foundation of learning and cognitive science principles that leverage interactive task design, machine learning, and data sciences. Solutions will be integrated in various teaching, learning, and assessment solutions. The AI Engineer’s role is to build, train and deploy AI models that power innovative features for the AI-based products.
Position Summary:
This position is for staffing product teams to build in personalization and recommender engines, where we are specifically looking out for individuals who have exposure, experience or even expertise in the following:
Responsibilities:
Experience in machine learning best practices, scalable training and deployment, model introspection and evaluation
Build personalization, knowledge tracing and recommender engine models
Non-cognitive, behavioral performance-based tasks modeling
Train and retrain machine learning models and provide metrics to document and track their performance.
Utilize best practices around design, coding, automated unit, regression testing, and deployment of AI/ML models to production; and responsible use of AI
Keep current of latest AI research in the personalized learning and assessment field
Work effectively in the agile-at-scale framework
Clearly communicate findings to business stakeholders
Education, Certifications, or Special Licenses:
- A Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering or a related field
Relevant Years of Experience:
- At least three years of training or experience in AI/ML algorithm development
Other Requirements:
AI/ML engineers will make heavy use of AWS, Microsoft Azure, OpenAI and Hugging Face models.
Experience with Python-based AI/ML frameworks, Java
Experience with cloud-based (AWS) deployment of models, performance monitoring and issues troubleshooting
Familiarity with Docker and Git
Experience with ML frameworks (like Keras or PyTorch) and libraries (like scikit-learn)
Knowledge and practical application of statistical analysis and mathematical modeling concepts and principles
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team
