Citizens Bank Analysis &Reporting Senior Analyst (Remote) in Helena, Montana
The Analysis & Reporting Senior Analyst is a key member of the Loan and Specialty Operations (LSO) Department, with a particular emphasis on supporting process controls and business rule oversight for the Collections & Recovery operation within LSO. The colleague will be responsible for designing, developing and delivering reporting solutions to support the operation and drive strategic decision making in a variety of ways. Examples include transaction level reporting to highlight processing exceptions or critical work actions needed and identification of target populations meeting complex eligibility criteria for special risk reviews. There will be significant data mining and research responsibilities, including obtaining access to multiple sources of data and consulting with subject matter experts to understand the practical applications of transaction and status codes. The ideal candidate for the role will offer not only strong technical programming ability but business analyst skills as well, in order to contribute to and enhance the reporting requirements. The candidate will also be responsible for instituting efficiency and effectiveness enhancements to the reporting program, including automating reports, establishing procedures and cross-training on multiple functions. In this role, the colleague will interact with various audiences at multiple leadership levels in the organization, which will require sound communication skills and business acumen, in addition to strong technical and analytical skills. •Understand the ‘why?’: Understand underlying business purpose behind reporting requests and know how data will be used in order to deliver an optimal solution and apply appropriate validation standards
•Collaborate with stakeholders on requirements development
•Design, develop and deliver transaction level and aggregate level reporting, including process exception reports, health of process heat maps, key performance indicator reporting, etc.
•Perform and evidence testing and validation documentation appropriate for the purpose of the particular development request.
•Conduct research needed to obtain access to key data sources and consult with subject matter experts to understand operational data definitions
•Manage projects to timely completion and communicate status updates, including risks to deadlines
•Trouble-shoot reporting anomalies and modify existing reporting packages as business needs require
•Implement automation of standard reporting
•Establish written procedures for key functions to enable cross-training and contingency planning •Identify business opportunities
•Analyze business problems and generate hypotheses •Analyze data to prove hypothesis and make recommendations for improvement •Communicate analysis insights and progress on implementation
5-7 years’ experience in SAS, SQL, and advanced Microsoft Excel 5-7 years prior banking experience including concentrations in reporting development and business analysis Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, research, and reconciliation skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Presentation and meeting facilitation skills preferred Process control experience preferred Collections and recovery experience preferred Experience with business intelligence and visualization tools preferred Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Quantitative field (Such as Engineering, Mathematics, Business, Economics, Statistics etc.) Hours and Work Schedule Hours per Week: 40 Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
