Oracle Applications Developer 4 in Helena, Montana

Job Description

Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

Responsibilities

Oracle Store is an eCommerce platform for selling Oracle’s products and services to its customers and partners. It is a one stop place for the consumers to create, view and manage various transactions such as purchase of Software, Hardware, Cloud based services as well as track orders, subscribe memberships in various Oracle Programs, renew support, manage cloud subscriptions and so on. These are modern, intuitive, and mobile-friendly/responsive web applications, designed to run on Oracle DB and utilize many cutting-edge Oracle technologies to interact with our various systems like Oracle Fusion, Oracle E-Business Suite, and others.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.

  • 8+ years of enterprise Java development experience

  • Technical aptitude and curiosity to learn and adapt to complex new software development techniques and methodologies.

  • Experience with Cloud Infrastructure and Cloud Applications.

  • Varied professional java experience such as Java Spring boot, Hibernate, Log4j, Kafka,Kubernetes

  • Experience with REST-based web-service calls.

  • Experience using GIT source control and participating in code reviews.

  • Preference for experience with jQuery Plugin development, Automation

  • Tools such as Grunt or Gulp, Bootstrap, Foundation.

  • Optional: Experience with Oracle products including advanced PL/SQL, APEX, and database tuning techniques, and Oracle Financial Applications.

  • Optional experience with Oracle Jet, React, or other javascript framework.

  • Optional experience using Oracle Fusion Business Applications

  • Optional functional experience with e-commerce.

  • Senior enough to estimate time requirements for quality coding and debugging

  • Ability to self-pace, to work independently, and to be honest

  • Attention to detail both in code and in communication with others

  • Excellent verbal, written and communication skills

  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills necessary

  • Capacity to embrace changes, adapt to new technologies

  • Create technical specification for feature of high complexity

  • Perform quality code reviews

  • Train and coordinate with production support team

  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking
