Salesforce is looking for a Cloud Enablement Architect to help accelerate our transition to cloud native services throughout the entire company. As a Cloud Enablement Architect within Salesforce, you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to move all our services to a multi-substrate cloud-native architecture using utility computer web services from a variety of cloud providers (AWS EC2, GCP Compute Engine, Azure Block Storage, etc). You will work closely with internal customers as well as cloud providers. Your broad responsibilities will include: leading the technical engagement and helping enable success around specific implementation projects; partnering with service teams to develop implementation architectures, developing a deep expertise in the technologies across multiple cloud providers as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using cloud native principles; and producing documents to help service teams through the transition (akin to AWS Well Architected).
As a Cloud Enablement Architect on our team, you will provide outstanding technical design and thought leadership to the broader service community within Salesforce. You will lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge among the Cloud Architect community. You will gain the opportunity to learn from, collaborate with, and educate some of the brightest technical minds in the industry today across the breadth of enterprise architecture.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Math or related field or equivalent experience
10+ years enterprise IT experience that includes at least 2 years of hands-on software development, Operations, DevOps engineering, or systems architecture
5+ years of Cloud computing experience using publicly available services
proven experience with distributed systems
Advanced knowledge of at least one of the major cloud providers, intermediate knowledge with at least one other
Prior experience in an internal or external facing architecture role, motivating change and impact across organizational boundaries
Demonstrated experience leading or developing high quality, enterprise scale software products using a structured system development lifecycle
For Colorado-based roles: Minimum annual salary of $180,000. You may also be entitled to receive bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits.
