Area Sales Manager IV- Range & Pasture - Northwest US
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Area Sales Manager IV, you will create demand at the end user level and manage sales to the distribution network in Montana & Wyoming. In this role, you will support the sales force at our distribution partners to drive the use of Bayer Range & Pasture chemistry products.
The primary responsibilities of this role, Area Sales Manager IV, are to:
Build and Maintain relationship with the distribution network in the area;
Provide and implement distribution account management tools, forecasting systems, inventory reporting and trade marketing plans to key distribution partners;
Provide monthly distribution forecasts;
Drive the external sales force (e.g. agents/distributor reps) to create value for Bayer range of product, create and monitor key performance indicators (KPI) to focus efforts on Bayer’s priorities;
Manage time and focus across multiple market segments (utility, bare ground, noxious/invasive, roadside, forestry, range and pasture) potentially with different associated channel partners and applicators;
Create and present the product line review to the customers and end users in the area;
Provide the high level of technical product training and support to the key customers and end users’ technical directors and managers;
Implement the national and regional sales policies;
Create demand at the end user level;
Analyze end user area sales monthly and propose market share development plans to management on a quarterly basis;
Report market evolution and competitor activities monthly;
Manage customer complaints and inquiries within area with support from regional stewardship managers;
Position requires driving for the company that will fall under DOT/FMCSA jurisdiction and may require a CDL. This may entail the hauling of trailers, product, supplies or equipment in a safe manner.

Ten+ years of relevant agronomic or range & pasture industry experience;
Excellent presentation and selling skills, including use of support software;
High capacity to define priorities and to allocate his/her time resources;
Excellent technical agronomic knowledge;
Strong knowledge of the category management principles;
Ability to manage execution of all channel programs and marketing concepts;
Precise and concise reporting;
Possess a DOT Driver medical card or the ability to obtain one through successfully completing and passing a DOT physical. In addition, candidate must be able to meet all applicable DOT/FMCSA criteria. Drivers with previous DOT driving experience may be required to undergo FMCSA safety checks and applicable review.
Master's degree or MBA
Range & Pasture industry specific experience
