Ameresco currently has a few intern positions available for a temp to potential permanent hire, located on the West Coast - Montana, Oregon, Washington, and California. This individual may be considered for a full time Assistant Project Manager (APM) position after successfully completing the Intern phase and upon graduation.

Responsibilities:
Assist the Project Construction Team or Project Development Team in the day-to-day management and oversight of the development and construct of Distributed Energy Resource Projects;
Provide accurate and timely project status updates and communication to Project Manager;
Assist with the maintenance of up-to-date project construction schedules and preparation of three (3) week look ahead for weekly review with client and project manager;
Assist the project manager with the preparation of regular project budget updates and forecasts of future costs for projects managed;
Work collectively with project manager to ensure proper lines of communication are established, performance and production goals are met and budgetary requirements are maintained;
Organize and participate in weekly project meeting with client and project management staff, prepare meeting minutes;
Organize and maintain project related files, drawings, materials, and correspondence;
Provide site level coordination with equipment vendors, labor subcontractors and professional services subcontractors in support of on-time, on-budget performance within the specified work scope and quality;
Support engineering and design development teams with project scoping, cost estimating and scheduling;
Assist project manager in developing project specific construction contracting strategies, review of bid packages, subcontractor selection and contracting;
Assist project manager with the preparation of regular construction progress reporting to internal company and external customer recipients;
Assist project manager to manage project expenditures and job cost accounting processes: including accuracy, submittals, documentation, approvals, NCRs, payment reporting, and cost tracking;
Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, federal, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, codes;
Foster positive and effective business relationships at all levels and project phases; and
Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
Current enrollment for a Bachelor of Science or Engineering Technology degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. The candidate will be a college sophomore grade level or higher and have specific interest in the energy or construction related fields.
Valid Drivers' License in good standing, issued by resident state.
Must be physically able to climb ladders and navigate through active construction sites.

Additional Qualifications:
May be required to pass security clearance investigation.
Proficient computer skills including MS Word, Excel and exposure to MS Project is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and foster positive business relationships.
Strong verbal, written, computer, technical communication and presentation skills.
