Joining Facebook’s Creative Shop means that you’re going to be a part of an incredibly talented and committed team that is focused on defining the role that Facebook can and will play in the future of marketing.As the Business Affairs Lead, you will be hands-on in the strategy and operations of the cross-functional Creative Services team and involved in the process of making content from beginning to end. You’ll combine your production and entertainment knowledge, strong business acumen, creativity and growing understanding of Facebook’s platform and products to build an efficient and innovative business affairs models that set the bar for the entire industry.The successful candidate will have: expertise in and passion for digital content, entertainment development deals, a mind for operational structures, fluency in working with advertising agencies, media companies, publishers, networks and production companies and understanding and a wide range of content execution strategies. You’re entrepreneurial in spirit, ready to roll up the sleeves and dig into the complexities of any business and strategy challenge.

Required Skills:

  1. Strategize and advise on Business Affairs matters for development, production and post- production for Creative Shop’s global business.

  2. Work with all cross-functional partners - Legal, Ad Policy, Privacy, Finance, Sales Ops, FP&A, Revenue Assurance and Sourcing to create and administer best practices for Facebook.

  3. Work with internal counsel handling production legal, litigation, copyright and trademark, music, and rights and clearance matters. Identify marketing and IP concerns and provide preliminary legal support to Producers and Creative Strategists for projects. This includes submitting projects for legal checks.

  4. Preparation/Drafting of various Legal Agreements and Statement of Work for projects, and ensuring they accurately reflect project-specific details, and their proper and timely execution for production to kick off. This extends to timely and accurate updating of Workfront.

  5. Maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive material and information within creative projects, and ensure they are properly disseminated with the necessary legal notices, agreements and clearances.

  6. General Business Affairs support, including the signing of NDAs, vendor on-boarding and management, raising requests for payments and tracking such requests.

  7. Manage and help troubleshoot pass-through production process from setup to wrap.

  8. Ensure proper paperwork wrap up and job reconciliation for completed projects.

  9. Provide guidance on Business Affairs matters to Producers and Creative Strategists for projects.

  10. Maintain regional tracking mechanisms and grids and provide weekly reporting for Creative Shop Productions and Producer projects.

  11. Develop and maintain operational workflow systems as needed for internal teams.

  12. Train Producers (and other Creative Shoppers) on Creative Shop workflows, paperwork, payments and daily Facebook practices.

  13. Evaluate Business Affairs processes for Creative Shop operational effectiveness, and support leadership on specific recommendations for current operations and future development.

  14. Provide input and support in relation to the legal implications of strategic Creative Shop business decisions and assist with the implementation of those decisions.

  15. Advise on the Legal and Business Affairs issues affecting Creative Shop’s on-going operations.

  16. Establish and maintain processes to spend, track and report on OpEx spent.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 8+ years of contracts management, paralegal, or other comparable experience within a law firm or legal department.

  2. Experience working in or in connection with an Advertising Agency, the Advertising/Marketing department of a large corporation and/or the Advertising Sourcing group of a major corporation.

  3. Experience in contract review, drafting and negotiating to include business, price and legal terms of standard commercial contracts e.g. SOWs, PSAs, etc. while aligning with Legal with appropriate terms and conditions.

  4. Experience making decisions in a fast-paced, often ambiguous, environment.

  5. Experience prioritizing and using available tools to enhance productivity and manage high volume of projects.

  6. Work independently while also contributing to a cross-functional team.

  7. Project Management experience in a complex multi-project and multi-geography environment.

  8. Interpersonal, client service and leadership skills.

  9. Organizational skills and experience managing multiple projects at once, following through and meeting deadlines.

  10. Communication skills with experience in influencing others.

  11. Bachelor's Degree.

  1. Fluent in English and Portuguese or Spanish.
