The Business Process Architect is primarily responsible for establishing core guiding processes, principles, and techniques to promote a standardized, agility-based approach to process improvement. This position will require a strong understanding of multiple IT-related disciplines, including business analysis, project management, agile principles, and strategic planning. Having the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships is critical for this position to be successful. This position will work with IT and Business professionals to drive and facilitate the right discussions with business leaders to identify capabilities in relation to current and future objectives. This position would join the Business Transformation team to establish the State’s standards for Agile Sigma to enable effective and iterative process improvement. The Business Process Architect works closely with both agency and IT leaders to align technical solutions with business needs. Additionally, the Business Process Architect works though others at every level of the organization soliciting strategic imperatives from senior leaders and executives, and supporting business unit managers as they leverage artifacts to prioritize their work. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in analyzing and refining our IT processes for enhanced operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and overall quality of our services. What are we looking for? * Education and Experience:* * Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Information Technology, Business,or related field; AND * 4 years’ experience as an IT Project Manager, Business Process Analyst, IT Systems Analyst, or similar role. * Certification in Project Management, Six Sigma, Business Analysis, or related methodology is preferred. * Alternate combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Competencies: /Knowledge of:/ * Agile Sigma * Business process analysis * Project management * Strategic planning * SAFe or Scrum * IT systems and infrastructure /Skills:/ * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including public speaking * Excellent relationship building skills, including the ability to build cohesive an collaborating teams across organizational groups * Excellent situational analysis, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills to objectively evaluate information and determine courses of action * Strong ability to organize priorities and tasks with minimal direction or input from leadership * Strong initiative to drive positive change and accomplish organizational goals and objectives * Highly skilled in researching different topics and subject matter areas to identify effective industry and/or best practice recommendations * Proficiency in process mapping, process documentation, and process improvement methodologies. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and O365 tools (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Planner, etc.) /Ability to:/ * Create visualizations and high-level models to communicate complex topics to a variety of audiences * Act as liaison conveying information needs of the business to IT and IT constraints or requirements to the business * Influence others toward progress and improvement, in particular when required to adopt a new methodology or way of working * Take an enterprise-wide view of the business and apply degrees of appreciation for strategy, process, capability, enabling technologies, and governance * Work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, with quickly changing priorities and direction * Think critically, apply creativity, and identify high quality solutions to process issues * * Does this sound like you?
