State of Montana Clinical Laboratory Scientist (07156) in Helena, Montana
* *The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Public Health and Safety Division, Laboratory Services. This Clinical Laboratory Scientist position performs testing for infectious agents to support work of the Montana Public Health Laboratory. Testing areas include serology, bacteriology, mycology/parasitology, mycobacteriology, molecular and next-generation sequencing. In addition, newborn screening testing is performed to detect metabolic abnormalities in infants. The laboratory is focused on disease detection, surveillance, and prevention for the State of Montana. Qualifications for this Career Opportunity * * * Knowledgeof clinical laboratory processes and practices. * Abilityto decide validity of data and interpret test results. * Knowledgeof guidelines for verification/validation of laboratory tests. * Meet minimum qualifications: o Bachelor’s degree in in a clinical lab science or comparable science discipline. o Oneyear of experience in a CLIA approved clinical laboratory certified for performing high complexity testing. o CurrentMontana State CLS License or eligibility to attain a license. o MT(ASCP) or other nationally recognized registry. * * How to Apply To be considered for a DPHHS position, submit the following required documents with your application on the State of Montana Careers website.
