JOB SUMMARY (overview of job): Ability to work with leadership to develop a clinic wide staffing plan and assist with implementation of staffing plan. Responsible for approval and coverage of all requested time off (all clinical staff and providers). Responsible for all unexpected call offs and substitution of staff, while continuing to provide excellent patient care. Is mindful about how staffing impacts fiscal responsibilities. Able to interact effectively with staff to coach on how to decrease overtime. Responsible for enforcing vacation policy, in partnership with clinical leadership. Communicates effectively with providers for best possible staffing. Must be able to demonstrate exceptional organizational and communication skills with all members of SPHMG. Needs to be available for call off’s at 0600 daily and on weekends, as needed. Other duties include: assisting clinical directors with staff selection and retention, Kronos, and monitoring of over-time. Required to accommodate for and attend 80% of all scheduled meetings.
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE : Sufficient clinical experience to demonstrate ability to organize and managing staffing schedules. Must have experience in overseeing departments or unit operations successfully. Must demonstrate maturity in judgment and the ability to oversee staffing of multiple physician practices, must be familiar with Excel, to develop and maintain all staffing and on call schedules.
EDUCATION : Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field preferred.
