Job Description

U.S. Bank has opportunities available for individuals with experience in lending and credit management.

As a Portfolio Monitoring Analyst II, you will support the lending process with financial analysis and credit monitoring for our Corporate and Commercial Banking clients.

Our Portfolio Credit Services (PCS) team is made up of dedicated managers and subject matter experts who will provide extensive training and development to enhance your financial analysis foundation, while building a deep understanding of our corporate customers and their credit needs.

In this role, your primary accountabilities will include:

  • Complete accurate and consistent financial statements spreads, quarterly trend analyses, covenant tests, and collateral reviews in accordance with bank spreading standards and wholesale credit policies

  • Maintain USB’s compliance monitoring database that tracks credit approval requirements and receipt of customer's financial reporting requirements on behalf of the Portfolio Managers and/or Relationship Managers

At this advanced level, you will be expected to handle more complex work assignments, serve as a mentor and development resource, help integrate new team members, and participate in special projects.

We offer flexible work arrangements, and a hybrid work arrangement for one of the following preferred office locations: Minneapolis, Cincinnati, Milwaukee, Denver, Seattle, San Diego, St. Louis, or Portland. However, we will also consider 100% remote work arrangements for experienced individuals in geographic areas where we do not have an available office location.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with coursework in accounting and finance, or equivalent work experience

  • Three to five years of experience in financial statement and analysis activities

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Advanced knowledge of financial statements and analysis

  • Thorough understanding of credit analysis, administration, and policy and procedures

  • Prior credit/banking experience

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to identify and resolve exceptions with minimal guidance and to interpret data

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to read and comprehend credit write-ups and loan documentation

Salary range reflected is an estimate of base pay and is for the primary location. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $27.50 - $36.63 - $40.30
