Job Description

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product.

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 5 years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.

The mission for Oracle for Startups on Campus is to empower university students from across the globe to become builders and inventors leveraging the power of Oracle cloud infrastructure. Our goal is to add OCI into every gen-z developers’ toolkit, for class projects, capstones, building product, and new company creation. This will enable the future generation of builders to be well-versed in OCI, be it as our future customers, startup portfolio companies, or employees. The developer evangelist will manage programs, capstones, and hackathons with universities as well as giving cloud talks and helping activate gen-z developers to leverage OCI in all ways possible. We are reimagining corporate innovation through collaboration with student and faculty-led startups and invite you to join the journey.

Developer Evangelist Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and build out key partnerships with universities to evangelize Oracle Cloud infrastructure with students

  • Organize and lead hackathons, build days, design sprints, and other events to foster new idea development with Oracle Cloud

  • Engage with key consortium partners, Deans, professors, and student leaders to build the Oracle Cloud voice in the university ecosystem

  • Lead Oracle Cloud trainings, webinars, and demos in technical classes in universities across the globe

  • Track qualitative and quantitative metrics to monitor and optimize impact across higher education programs

  • Manage partnerships with higher education institutions, specifically innovation, computer science, engineering, business, and related departments

  • Onboard and manage pipeline of new student/faculty-led ventures leveraging Oracle Cloud

  • Help student and faculty entrepreneurs reach maximum potential with adoption of Oracle cloud

  • Collaborate with Oracle for Research, Oracle for Startups, and other stakeholders to drive cross-departmental value for Oracle


  • You have 3-5+ years of experience in startups, higher education innovation, or a similar field

  • You have a passion for cloud computing and how it advances our society

  • (Not required) You have a network of developers that love to try new cutting edge technology

  • You display the highest personal integrity and ethics

  • You have exceptional relationship-building and collaboration skills

  • You have strong presentation skills and love delivering keynotes

  • You love to build and participate in innovator communities within higher education institutions

  • You are a self-starter and have an ability to adapt quickly
