Change Healthcare DevOps Engineer in Helena, Montana

DevOps Engineer

Overview of Position Looking for a DevOps Engineer to join the Systems Engineering Team. This is a key role which focuses on building and maintaining the tooling and infrastructure used to automate the release, deployment, and upgrade processes for workloads. This individual will work on developing the automated pipelines for cloud environments as well as providing consulting services to application and infrastructure teams specific to automated build, test and release automation. This role will be responsible for the operations and operating environment for the DevOps platforms and will drive troubleshooting efforts around incidents and outages.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • Work in collaboration with Cloud Ops to provide on-going operational support of the DevOps tools and services supporting various cloud environments

  • Strengthen and maintain the monitoring and management of the build and deployment processes and infrastructure

  • Design and engineer the DevOps CI\CD tooling and platform roadmap AWS Cloud 2.0

  • Seamlessly integrate DevOps with infrastructure and automation orchestration platforms through established architectural patterns (e.g. APIs)

  • Automate the full SDLC and PDLC lifecycle process for application and infrastructure as code workloads destined for AWS Availability zones

  • Ensure all services are hardened and security best practices are followed during the automated CI\CD processes

    What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years software development experience with 3+ years of DevOps experience

  • Direct experience with DevOps in AWS/Azure

  • Expertise in continuous integration, continuous deployment, application performance monitoring, and alerting systems

  • Experience in any of the scripting languages: Python, Powershell, Perl, Javascript

  • Strong cloud automation experience: Terraform, Ansible, Chef

  • Expertise in relational and NoSQL data platforms, AWS RDS

  • Experience supporting mission critical Linux

  • Experience supporting cloud networking DNS, WAF, SG, NACL

  • Experience in supporting containerized workloads Docker, EKS, Kubernetes

  • Expertise with cloud monitoring, troubleshooting and management systems

  • Experience with cloud security principles and best practices

  • Expertise in Safe Agile, Gitlabs, Jira, Ansible, SAML

  • Expertise in monitoring tools Cloudwatch, AppDynamics or New Relic

  • Windows systems at scale

  • Expertise in Titania, RedShift

  • Expertise in Bamboo, puppet

  • Linux administration and troubleshooting

  • AWS Architecture, maintenance, and configuration

  • Process monitoring, troubleshooting, and automation

  • General application troubleshooting

  • Supporting Developers with development and troubleshooting

  • Mysql administration

  • Client support when requested by product team

  • Strong communication and documentation skill
