Oracle Director of Delivery Excellence - Consulting Staff Senior Practice Director in Helena, Montana
As a member of the Consulting organization, you are responsible for ensuring that a quality, integrated software solution is delivered in a timely manner, at budget, and to our client's satisfaction. This involves working closely with the client to understand and manage their expectations, as well as working closely with Oracle and third-party vendors to ensure delivery.
Serves in a senior practice management role, managing a large Service Line staff. Plans, organizes, directs and controls the work activities and staff of a Service Line consulting practice. Normally manages and leads through management team consisting of Practice and Technical Managers and Directors. Responsible for operational results of Service Line group, quality of consulting delivery and assuring reference ability for that group.
Directs and ensures the implementation of operational policies through subordinate managers. Interacts internally and externally with executive management, providing negotiation of difficult matters to influence policy. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences or Business or equivalent preferred. Balance of advanced technical skills, functional knowledge, client consultative skills and operational management experience. Has 4+ years of consulting services senior management experience with P & L responsibility and 10-15 years consulting or industry experience. Willing to travel regionally with some national/international travel.

The leader of Delivery Excellence is the second-highest position within the consulting delivery organization and as such will assume all duties of the Delivery Leader in the delivery leader’s absence.
As the leader of delivery excellence, you will report directly to the leader of the consulting delivery organization on matters related to the daily operations of programs or projects.
Your job duties will vary depending on the most critical issues at hand and will include supervising employees, attracting/retaining top talent, developing relationships with various peers and product managers, executing the technical strategy of the organization, and representing delivery in corporate initiatives (Methodologies, pricing, tool selection, etc), getting involved in client satisfaction resolution, and overseeing the development of new business opportunities.
Will also focus on reducing OCS’ cost of delivery through innovation and partnering with various staffing channels beyond the delivery organization.
Will participate in pursuits as the liaison between Sales, Portfolio and Delivery.
Will work with the Delivery leader to align delivery skills with pipeline activity.
The qualifications for this role include a bachelor’s degree in a technology field, a working knowledge of Oracle’s technology products and services, both cloud on-premise, and at least 20 years of technical leadership experience.
Must have strong communication skills and experience developing cross-functional teams. Strategic thinking, decision making, and problem solving are vital to the job.
Should have managed a team of at least 100 people, including the mentorship and coaching of other managers and directors. Should have experience in either leading or supporting a strategic sales pursuit.
Must be comfortable in leading an emerging technology initiative.
Must be able to get engaged in a project trending in the wrong direction and recommend corrective measures to be put in place.
