Facebook Director of Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing & Operations in Helena, Montana

Summary:

Facebook is seeking a leader of global supply chain to be responsible for manufacturing across all supplier segments, manufacturing models, and product spaces for Infrastructure. Span of support for this leadership role will include new product development and launch, ramp-to-scale manufacturing, ongoing manufacturing hardware infrastructure buildout, managing the global supply of our component and subassembly relationships, as well as process, tooling, and other improvement projects designed to improve productivity.

Required Skills:

  1. Develop and grow global manufacturing spanning teams.

  2. Develop an organizational vision for the future of supply chain at Facebook.

  3. Design, develop and implement a commercial and operational learning and development roadmap for the team.

  4. Ensure the timely delivery of storage, compute and network gear to our worldwide network of Data Center, Network Caching, and Backbone points of consumption.

  5. Develop OEM, ODM, JDM, and CM manufacturing strategies that address the unique needs of supply chain and manufacturing at hyperscale.

  6. Own and lead the active management of manufacturing partner relationships at the C-suite level.

  7. Lead the new product prototyping, pilot and mass production launch of custom new hardware SKU’s.

  8. Partner with Operations Engineering to ensure world class levels of hardware quality both at the component and system level.

  9. Partner with Supply Chain Solutions and Operations to design, develop, and deploy elastic supply chain models that ensure we are insulated from a variety of risks.

  10. Work across product teams, IT, and partner teams to co-develop a world class, integrated IT architecture and deliver tools, systems, and processes to decrease work friction and improve team member productivity.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Track record of identifying, developing, and promoting talent.

  2. Experience delivering operational excellence in demanding environments. Outsourcing and manufacturing operations experience for hardware products, to include an understanding of factory and manufacturing systems and tools. Demonstrated manufacturing knowledge in multiple manufacturing models.

  3. Experience in NPI launches, product ramp, sustaining support, and end-of-life cycle for computer hardware products in a large-scale environment.

  4. Experience setting vision and executing reliably. Demonstrated experience in hiring, training, and developing source and supply chain teams.

  5. Experience in cross functional partnership and enabling the success of others.

  6. Experience transforming business systems, models, and achieving results relative to goals. Demonstrated skills questioning the norm, thinking out-of-bounds, and delivering.
