The Montana Department of Revenue administers almost 40 state taxes, property appraisals, liquor laws, and unclaimed property for the state of Montana. The Director's Office Division provides support for the Director and department employees relating to tax policy, legal, human resources, training, enterprise planning, communications and tax payer assistance, dispute resolution, call center, accounting and budgeting, contracts, facilities and purchasing, and security. *DUTIES* The incumbent performs a variety of duties assigned by management. The Director’s Office Executive Assistant coordinates office management and administrative support services for the Executive Office. This includes developing and maintaining the records management system, reports, spreadsheets, and other information and materials; maintaining executive reference files for the director; drafting individualized responses to information requests on behalf of the director and department managers; assists during legislative session; and providing a variety of other specialized support services as directed. This position assumes daily management responsibilities when the management officer is out of the office. The position does not supervise other staff. This is an incomplete list of job duties. ( or 406-444-9858) (All computer systems and tax guidelines will be trained on the job.) *This position requires the successful completion of a background check and a state tax compliance status check. *EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE* The above competencies are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to: * One year of college or vocational training in business administration, office management, or related program. * Three years of job-related work experience made up of office management and/or administrative support services. Experience must include at least one year working with standard office software applications (word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation). * Other combinations of education and experience will be evaluated on an individual basis.
