Please note that this position is temporary full time remote. Work from home - Supporting Eastern Time Zone hours.

Working to support the State of New York, establish and process applications to provide critical financial relief to renters and landlords. The Housing Application Processing Specialist is responsible for organizing a variety of financial information and quality checking the application submissions of Housing Application Representatives. This involves identifying the applicant, qualifying the applicant, and determining eligibility. Our task is to organize and make sense of a wide variety of receipts, invoices, and other documents to make sure we are reimbursing for the right expenses

  • Well versed in developing and sustaining effective relationships with senior management & identifying opportunities within the client’s network

    Duties and Responsibilities

  • Specialized experience with application processing, business processing or financial eligibility experience or

  • Specialized grant management experience and Familiarity with grant management processes and regulations. experience with using any grant management tool is or

  • Specialized financial documentation experience with various financial documentation (purchase orders, invoices, check registers, etc.).

  • Detail-oriented and flexible:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Self-managing: You will be working with a Supervisor on tasks, but it will be helpful to understand the gist of our work and direct yourself to the highest-priority activities.

  • Would not require sponsorship now or anytime in the future to work in the United States.

  • The ability to apply newly acquired skills using logic and reasoning to sets of transaction data.

  • Microsoft Office and data entry skills


  • High School Diploma

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree a plus

  • PC skills in a Windows environment are required. Knowledge and utilization of desktop applications to include Word and Excel is essential.

  • Innovative, motivated & able to lead by example.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to initiate and follow through on projects and work independently with minimal supervision required.

    Candidates from Eastern Standard Time, Central Standard Time, and Pacific Standard Time Zones as well as candidates from Arizona, New Mexico and Utah will be considered for this position.
