Change Healthcare Implementation Specialist in Helena, Montana
Overview of Position After a client (Payer, TPA or insurance company) has signed a contract with Change Healthcare, this individual will guide the client through a 1-6 month implementation schedule to begin processing the client’s live data through our system. Larger revenue projects will include the assignment of a certified project manager. Smaller projects will require the implementation specialist to perform multiple responsibilities focused around three key skills, project management, client communications and business analysis.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
Manage the implementation of new clients or existing clients adding new business or modifying current business
Initial contact with client to “kick off” the implementation process; this includes discussing products to be implemented per their signed contract and setting expectations with the client to complete the implementation as a team
Collect and analyze client’s data and requirements
Complete mapping and scope document for use by the development (AFF) team where applicable.
Open, read and understand data files
Develop statement of work in collaboration with internal IT and the client when required by client/project.
Develop and manage internal and external project plans with aggressive timelines
Interact with IT to develop code for interpreting client data
Set up new client in Change Healthcare’s Client Access System, customizing business settings to meet the client’s business requirements.
Design forms using both Quadient and proprietary software.
Work with client to determine what testing and test cases need to be covered during the testing and QA phase of the implementation
Test client’s data applying form and group settings to accomplish client’s desired output, such as checks, explanations of benefits, member letters, etc.
Manage all communication with the client including conducting meetings and conference calls
Consult with managerial and IT business analyst personnel to create user stories where new system solutions are needed to accommodate client’s specific requirements.
Generate process documentation for each implementation to be used for the turnover of the client to the Client Services department and for future business growth
Ensure successful processing of clients’ live data prior to concluding implementation and turning the client over to the Client Services department.
Understand medical claims, insurance related documents, print and electronic processing solutions
Understand Payer Services technical systems and software.
Understand Payer Services products including EOBs, checks, ID cards, invoices, letters, eEOBs, web portals, data WebAPI, commission statements, capitation statements, member booklets, SPDs, Medicare part D, Medicare documents, CFA, UBs, ADA forms, EFT, 835s and virtual credit cards
Periodically visit client locations
Adhere to security policies and procedures
Carry out responsibilities with highly ethical behavior, especially as it relates to HIPAA regulations
What are the requirements needed for this position?
College degree required or 5 years of Healthcare implementation experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Access to high-speed internet for remote locations
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
Working knowledge in software databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, FoxPro and basic programming and query knowledge preferred
Quadient software experience highly preferred
Data normalization
Knowledge of data file types such as XML, delimited, fixed data, PDF, print files and vendor files preferred
Strong technical problem-solving skills
Technical agility to adapt to new computer applications quickly
Customer Service Skills
Able to communicate with various organizational levels and departments
Able to work on multiple projects/priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of 028 file creation, form design and basic system knowledge preferred
Knowledge of the proprietary Client Access System and Multi-Channel Distribution System preferred
College Degree preferred or equivalent work experience
Medical Billing Experience preferred
Healthcare and Insurance Industry Experience preferred
