The Role

The Inside Channel Manager I is responsible for working with Lumen Indirect Business partners to generate sales opportunity, grow new and upsell revenue to increase overall total sales to business clients.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Win business and drive revenue by managing partner sales opportunities.

  • Participate in the design solution by interviewing to discover customer need. Identify new cross/upsell opportunities.

  • Provide accurate and detailed forecast funnel of identified and proposed opportunities to meet or exceed quota requirements.

  • Perform internal quoting system, Request for Proposal (RFP) support up to order entry.

  • Coordinate communication between internal groups (sales engineering, product, offer management, etc.) during the sales process required to close the sales opportunity.

  • Work with Partners to ensure sales readiness for company products and processes.

  • Manage and serve as the escalation path for partners to ensure superior customer experience.

  • Expedite sales process by facilitating requests with appropriate internal groups, coordinating completion, and ensuring timely responses.

  • Coordinate, train and manage all resources needed to win sales opportunities.

What We Look For in a Candidate

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2 years in a tele-sales environment including business to business.

  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and 2+ years’ experience.

  • Strong communication (oral and written), interpersonal, communication, customer service, account relationship, and negotiating. Works well in team environment.

  • Familiarity with Outlook, Web Meeting, Q Central, and Salesforce.

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
