Cherry Bekaert IT Portfolio Analyst in Helena, Montana
Description
The IT Portfolio Analyst is an important addition to our growing CBIT team. In this role you will support the CBIT organization by managing the performance of the IT portfolio of projects including processes, project resource staffing, support status reporting, management, and organization of project documents. You will also provide IT support and assistance for M&A projects, general administrative tasks, budget process and management, vendor & contract management workflows and tasks, process improvements including workflows and controls, communicating with team members and stakeholders. You will demonstrate ownership of portfolio and project tasks as required; anticipates upcoming needs and demonstrates independent judgement in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. In this role you will:
Manage the funnel of proposed IT investments, and review new submissions to ensure information accuracy, thoroughness, completeness and compliance with IT standards
Coordinate the IT portfolio project intake, prioritization, approval, and project scheduling workflows that inform the CBIT project pipeline
Collaborate with IT leaders during M&A activities to define a technology strategy that maximizes business value
Work with and through others to define and manage processes that streamline effective management of vendors, contracts, software and license management
Assist IT Project Managers with project planning and kick off preparations as projects are approved; contributes to maintaining and monitoring project plans, schedules, deliverables, level-of-effort burn downs, budgets, expenditures, risk/issue/actions/decisions
Initiate and manages project logistical needs such as agendas, project stand up (e.g., tools, coding, document repositories, status reporting set up)
Assist with coordinating IT resources and IT resource scheduling
Assist with monitoring IT budget and participate in the forecasting process and creating/updating budget reports for IT leaders, and executive leadership
Prepare and supports reporting and communication to maximize stakeholder understanding of the IT Service Catalog and related costs
What you bring to the role:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field
Minimum of 3 years related experience to include project or portfolio management
Exposure to M&A preferred
You are eager to assist, and recognizes every contribution furthers shared success across the CBIT department
Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Experience with project management related applications (such as Jira, MS Project solutions, Smartsheet)
Familiarity with project management specific tools
A willingness to have an open mind and pivot to changing or emerging needs
You are an initiative-taker but also take direction well, are organized and detail focused, and are excellent with time management would be well suited to this role

The hiring range for this role is $70,000-$90,000 annually. Individual offers will take into consideration experience, location, and budget.
