As the Manager of Instructional Design , you will contribute to the vision of delivering TUCE - the U nparalleled Customer Experience. In this role you will support this vision by functioning as an Instructional Design (ID) coach and player. The Manager of Instructional Design will serve as a coach by overseeing the existing team of IDs and be responsible for assigning IDs to projects based on skill sets and capacity, providing continuous challenge and support to aid the ongoing development of IDs, and ensure that we are pursuing continuous improvement in the design and development of our content enterprise wide. The Manager of Instructional Design will serve as a player by contributing to building the content that makes our vision a reality by leveraging your knowledge of learning science, applying your creative abilities, and using your technical e-learning skills to develop content enterprise wide.

How you’ll spend your time:
Oversee project pipeline for projects enterprise wide and assign IDs to projects based on skillset, project needs and capacity.
Coach IDs in their continuous development of tools and systems utilized to enhance associate experience.
Advise on the development of content across the team and for creating content as an individual contributor.
Support the implementation of learning initiatives as needed, including LMS configuration and online or in-person facilitator led initiatives.
Keep abreast of training and development research, learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques.
Collaborate with Learning and Performance Consultants on the strategic design of solutions presented to stakeholders.

Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years’ experience managing learning projects from analysis to evaluation for a variety of business lines OR any combination of education and experience that would provide an equivalent background.
Advanced proficiency using e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Camtasia, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including awareness and management of self and other’s attitudes and behaviors to foster strong relationships.
Continuous learner with a growth mindset dedicated to expanding their knowledge and honing their craft.
Possess a strong work ethic with a mindset of accountability and ownership; Knowledge of methods and techniques for planning, designing, and developing instructional content.
Skill in applying principles of cognitive science and adult learning to design solutions that maximize learning and/or behavioral outcomes, for example enhancing motivation and increasing knowledge retention.
Skill in selecting and aligning delivery options and media for training and/or learning events to the desired learning or behavioral outcomes.
Skill in acquiring new knowledge through professional development activities for oneself, for example attending professional conferences, self-directed reading, and monitoring industry trends.
Skill in establishing, monitoring, and communicating progress toward the achievement of goals, objectives, and milestones.
Knowledge of methods and techniques for managing and/or supervising others, for example directing others’ work, delegating tasks, providing guidance and support, and allocating tools and/or resources.
Skill in helping individuals or teams identify goals, develop realistic action plans, seek development opportunities, and monitor progress and accountability.
This position is open to remote but will require some travel to KC- Individual must be able to travel up to 10-15%
