Kabbage Product Line Strategy & Integration is the team within Global Commercial Services that coordinate the launch and development of Kabbage products under the American Express umbrella. This team operates as a fintech within the broader commercial business, offering a suite of innovative, non-card lending solutions for small and mid-sized businesses. KPLS&I is a major strategic investment for the Blue Box and is expected to accelerate growth in the coming years.

Within Kabbage’s product suite, Line of Credit is the funding solution to meet our customer’s need for financing with a convenient and price-competitive offering.

The Product Management team is the general management function for the product; acting as the central hub of numerous cross-functional teams, and responsible for driving growth by defining strategic priorities, setting customer acquisition targets, assessing new opportunities, conducting customer research, and prioritizing investment decisions including technology backlog.

At a high level, this position will be responsible for ideating, developing and solutioning for key enhancements to the product that will help enrich and grow the portfolio. The role requires an individual who exhibits strategic and conceptual thought leadership, robust product skills, a strong customer focus, and a desire to challenge the status-quo with this rapidly evolving product.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Analyze customer needs and define opportunities that will drive top-line growth, deepen customer engagement and deliver a first-class experience for the Kabbage Lending Portfolio;

  • Assess current product performance, understand immediate product priorities, and define next wave of product roadmap;

  • Partner across Kabbage and GCS Product teams, Tech, Risk and Marketing to identify key requirements, plan and execute growth opportunities, including embedding Kabbage Funding into GCS product suite;

  • Coordinate go-to-market activities to ensure initiatives are being seamlessly launched in market;

  • Partner with analytics on performance measurement and continuous improvement opportunities;

  • Project manage strategic initiatives;

  • Become a subject matter expert on the broader lending landscape, including developments in the FinTech space.

Qualifications

  • Strategic, creative thinker with a demonstrated ability to identify customer insights and needs to drive product strategy;

  • Collaborative partnership skills with strong proficiency to problem-solve and resilience to adjust as strategic needs change;

  • Solid quantitative skills to understand P&L numbers and use available data and analysis to identify key business drivers and evaluate growth opportunities;

  • Ability to effectively influence stakeholders and ability to work across functional areas such as Product Development, Risk, Technology, Legal, Compliance and Sales;

  • Project Management experience and ability to thrive in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment;

  • Strong oral and written communication skills;

  • Previous experience in product management, development, or marketing is desired and lending experience is a plus;

  • MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
