Oracle Principal Product Manager with Identity and Access Management in Helena, Montana

Job Description

Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

General responsibilities

The Identity and Access Management (IAM) Senior Product Manager is responsible for defining and driving the Oracle Heath Sciences identity and access management vision and strategy. This includes:

  • Working with customers to gather requirements and presenting the product vision and roadmap

  • Following industry trends, developments, and practices to continuously offer the best products to our customers

  • Collaborating with product leaders internally to ensure their identity and access management needs are adequately understood, captured, and reflected in the vision and strategy

  • Performing in an Agile environment, writing epics, and prioritizing features

  • Defining, managing, and driving the Product Roadmap

  • Creating, managing, and prioritizing the product backlog

  • Working closely with Program Management to manage the product release process from definition through delivery and ongoing maintenance

  • Working closely with the Cloud organization to ensure a smooth roll-out

  • Defining and managing the beta-test and early-release programs

  • Balancing time-to-market and quality requirements to decide when the product is ready for release



  • BS in Computer Science or MS in Computer Science

  • Coursework in Engineering or a background in technical roles within an application software environment is a plus


Candidates must possess following skills:

  • 5+ years technical product management experience, preferably in cloud solutions, for enterprise level software applications.

  • 3+ years implementing and managing large-scale Customer Identity and Access Management implementations.

  • Experience designing and implementing SSO solutions involving:

  • OAuth 2.0 and Open ID connect authorization flows and their implementation in the context of Oracle tooling

  • Federation with SAML against 3rd party identity providers (such as Exostar, Okta, MS Azure)

  • Multi-factor authentication

  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and core values to deliver work within the framework as a Product Owner.

  • The ability to independently author well-written technical and functional feature requirements in the form of epics and acceptance criteria.

  • Strong cross-functional management experience.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience in the Life Sciences industry, specifically with data capture and data management software solutions is desirable, though not required

  • Experience in following Identity and access management tools is desirable, though not required:

  • Oracle Identity Management Suite 11g and 12c and tools within (such as, Access Manager, Identity Manager, Unified Directory, Identity Directory, WebGate, Identity Federation, etc.)

  • Oracle Identity Management Cloud Service (IDCS) both foundation and standard editions
