Job Description

Foundational Data and Analytics organization in our Company has a mission “To establish a world class data and analytics ecosystem for our data practitioners by building easy to use and highly valued products and services”. Critical part of this mission is to develop products and services to acquire and prepare data for analysis. Data Product Generation Product line leader’s main focus will be to identify and define digital products that can acquire, ingest and transform data, from its sources to analysis ready form, in support of organization’s insights needs.

Incumbent will join Foundation D&A organization and will collaborate with D&A leaders in divisional IT and business to achieve desired outcomes. (S)he will partner with foundational platforms, enterprise architecture, networking and cloud computing teams to architect, design and implement digital products.

Successful candidate for this position will have significant opportunity to increase reuse of digital products in enabling reliable and authoritative data for insights, and shape data flows and speed to insights. Success in this role will have big impact on data driven culture within the organization by enhancing trust in, and significantly increasing reuse of data.

Primary Responsibilities:

Engage with key stakeholders across the enterprise to understand the capability needs in acquiring, ingesting and transforming data to support insights needs.

Define key digital product ecosystem in the product line to support stakeholder capability needs. Stand up cross-functional agile teams to deliver digital products in the product line, with relentless focus on efficiency & effectiveness of the team.

Provide leadership in defining OKRs for the products and product-line and focus and drive activity in line with ROI/value realization.

Ensure strong alignment of products in the product line with other foundational D&A digital products and product lines and other foundational digital products available in the enterprise.

Engage with external partners and thought leaders to keep abreast of latest technology and trends in the data product generation domain.

Leverage this external perspective to influence products in the product line and enable innovation to support business needs and new insights.

Develop and implement communications and marketing strategies to ensure awareness and education of digital products.

Partner with Data experts to co-create a holistic data insight environment to support strategic and operational decision making.

Monitor and enhance adoption and usage of digital products to improve business outcomes as well as utilization and return on investment on products.

Partner with enterprise architecture to continue to refine product line strategy and architecture that improves data availability that enhances insights possibilities in support of business outcomes.

Develop business case and investment plans in support of investments in products in the product line, gain investment approvals and monitor and manage spend and ROI for the investments.

Build, grow and support talent in Product teams through hiring, coaching, mentoring, and giving feedback.

Education Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Sciences or Information Technology.

Qualifications:

• 10 + years of working exp in engineering role developing digital products and services.

• 3+ years of experience building and provisioning ingestion and transformation products or services to process diverse data sources, including

structured and unstructured, internal and external, batch and continuous data sources, for large enterprises.

• 3+ years of experience integrating and transforming largescale data sets using multiple compute environments.

• Hands on experience with wide variety of data stores and compute including one or more of the following: object storage, data bricks, EMR, NoSQL, Graph, MPP and relational databases.

• Strong knowledge of ingestion and transformation patterns and modern technologies to support these patterns.

• Extensive working knowledge in cloud-based data and analytics solutions.

• Solid understanding of good data engineering and management practices and ability to create a vision that enables easy access to analytics

ready data across enterprise.

• Sound understanding and demonstrated experience in integrating and transforming data in a wide variety of structured and unstructured data stores.

• Business outcomes driven leadership with ability to connect value to investments and relentless focus on actions that lead to better value and ROI.

• Strong leadership, collaboration and communication skills with ability to align the organization on complex technical decisions.

• Facilitation, marketing and persuasion skills to help stakeholder community understand the value of product line offerings and help them

adopt the offerings.

• Active coach and mentor whose goals are to grow and maximize the squads’ potential.

Preferred Skills:

Working knowledge in Data and Analytics products offered by AWS.

Experience delivering last-mile solutions using ingestion and transformation products.

Experience in end-to-end data management practices including ingestion, transformation, data governance, harmonization, and publishing.

Experience in data operations.
