Job Description
Position Summary:
The CamelBak Product Ops Team is responsible for all operational aspects of new product introductions (NPI), special make up (SMU) and sustaining projects, ensuring proper definition, planning, and execution. The Product Operations Specialist role will be responsible for coordinating resources among cross-functional teams, both internally and externally to effectively support projects along the development timeline and finalize product deliverables and data needed to successfully commercialize and launch product.
Responsibilities:
Working as a member of CamelBak’s Product Core Teams and in conjunction with CamelBak Sourcing, assist the Manager, Product Operations in the operational aspects of product builds throughout the development cycle, up to the beginning of steady state production. Key deliverables include commercialization, managing salesman samples, ensuring tooling is built and available for production, raw materials are available, factory capacity is in alignment with the CamelBak forecast, factory product testing equipment and protocols are in place and product transportation is set-up and ready for execution. Create supplier quotes within the CamelBak PLM system.
Assist the Manager, Production Operations in the presentation of Capex budget and supply chain discussion at all milestone meetings. Create supplier quotes within the CamelBak PLM system for review.
In collaboration with the Manager, Production Operations and supply planner, manage all day to day operations with tier 2 material suppliers inclusive of OTIF, capacity planning, tool life maintenance and Capex reporting.
Responsible for weekly monitoring of 2nd Tier Supplier open order reports. Communicate any changes or delays to all cross functional partners.
Assist resolution of sustaining production issues for tier 2 suppliers to ensure on time delivery. Collaborate with Supply Planning, Sourcing, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering as needed.
Participate in weekly supplier and consigned component material calls.
Commercialize Product ensuring all SKUs are costed and released according to the predetermined timeline, deliverables include, but are not limited to:
Style, SKU & Part Number set up and assignment in Centric/Arena
Style, SKU & Part Number assignments for any required warranty replacement parts
Soft Goods SMU Sewing Specifications in coordination with the Developer
Hard Good SMU Specifications in coordination with Engineering
Required artwork in coordination with Design/Creative Services
Material and Product Regulatory Compliance documents in coordination with Regulatory
Commercialization & Quality Inspection per product style in coordination with Quality
Finished Goods Packaging, Retail boxes, Hangtags, & Call-Out Tags in coordination with Marketing/Creative Services
Import/Export Compliance requirements in coordination with Customs Compliance
All required Dimensions and Weights in coordination with Developer/Engineering/factory
UPC Sticker data & Over-Stickers
Finalization of Arena/Centric PLM Item Set-up & Bills of Materials in coordination with Engineering/Developer/Sourcing
Final product costing in coordination with the Product Operations Manager
Product Retail/Wholesale pricing in coordination with Product Manager
Hand-off of required Oracle SKU set-up data
Participate in the deployment and implementation of CamelBak and Product Ops initiatives.
Education and Experience Requirement
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
3+ years of relevant work experience in a consumer products environment
Preferable experience in the following areas:
New Product Introduction (NPI)
Supply chain management
Supplier collaboration
Injection molding & RF Welding manufacturing
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strategic thinker with strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills
Ability to work cross-functionally with all levels of the organization
Team player with a service mentality who can maintain a high level of energy and enthusiasm
Experience or exposure to working with international suppliers/subcontractors.
Working Conditions:
Computer terminal use 6+ hours per day.
Ability to lift 25 lbs.
Potential for Domestic and International travel to include weekends and for periods up to a week at a time.
Reoccurring evening virtual meetings with international suppliers as needed.
Pay Range:
$55,400.00 - $83,000.00
