Salesforce Penetration Testing is responsible for proactively improving the overall security resilience of Salesforce’s most critical areas, using a suite of capabilities that mimic real-world malicious actors. We achieve this by applying offensive security tactics that leverage custom-made tools and manual penetration tests against applications/infrastructure and services that handle customer PII. We work with teams throughout Salesforce including our acquisitions to provide security services and drive new security initiatives. Our top-tier security professionals are key to our success.

The Security Operations Analyst will be tasked with assisting in managing and planning work, researching, implementing, and improving security operations within Salesforce’s Pentest Team. Responsibilities include and not limited to:


  • Builds and improves process flows and intake forms for penetration testing work streams to support the execution of the strategy plan

  • Develops a coverage plan with KPIs, Metrics, and SLOs to communicate monthly with partners and leadership

  • Ensures performance of the security contractors as measured by SLA's, KPI's, and other indicators

  • Collects customer feedback on penetration test process flows and suggests improvement recommendations based on the collected feedback

  • Runs python automation to manage the work queue and assists in scheduling and assigning targets to penetration testers based on availability and priorities

  • Provides weekly commentary to TPMs on penetration test progress for multiple ongoing projects

  • Onboards security engineers based on project requirements and supports the program with other relevant tasks

Required Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience working with security teams

  • 1+ years of professional experience working in Python or Golang programming languages

  • Understanding of security related technologies and products in one or more of the following areas: security assessment, root cause analysis, threat and vulnerability management, and/or product security

Preferred Experience:

  • B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical field

  • Multi-disciplinary backgrounds (e. g. Information Security, Information Technology Management, Business Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning)

  • Prior experience in a fast-paced corporate environment

  • Excellent business and technical communication skills

  • Organized and detail oriented team player who interacts well with stakeholders at all levels of the organization

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, complex situations, a diverse team, and client requirements on an ongoing basis
