JOB SUMMARY: Continuous monitoring and operation of equipment in the manufacturing processes to ensure production of copper and copper-based products are performed efficiently, safely and to ensure customer satisfaction. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Operating and monitoring manufacturing equipment and processes. Maintains and repairs department equipment and various other maintenance duties. Troubleshoots equipment as needed to keep equipment operational. Maintains production records according to quality assurance guidelines. Completes daily shift reports with accuracy and attention to detail. Documents production problems, product yields, and any disruptions or discrepancies. Operates and maintains production quality assurance test equipment. Completes quality assurance testing of in-process material. Assists in training other team members in all the above duties and responsibilities. Participates in continuous improvement activities, Adheres to all company safety programs; wears required safety gear and keeps work area clean. Performs activities in compliance with documented ISO Quality and Environmental procedures or work instructions. Works as a team to meet production, quality, and safety goals. Must be capable of reading, understanding, and following departmental work instructions. Performs other duties as may be assigned. Preparation of raw materials for atomization, weighing, charging, etc. 2. Assures raw materials are approved and available for consumption. 3. Assures raw materials are loaded into furnace and properly identified. Finishing Operators: 1. Collects, prepares, and blends materials as detailed on Production Work Orders. 2. Packs out blended material and attaches proper in-process label 3. Logs and submits final blend sample to laboratory for testing 4. Returns material or completed products to appropriate storage location. 5. Assists in preparing material for shipping, as needed Requirements JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Basic math and reading skills required, High School Diploma preferred. Previous experience in powder production, metallurgy, PM components helpful. Can work cautiously but efficiently in potentially hazardous conditions. Strong mathematical skills Capable of driving fork-truck Arrive on time and take pride in your job contribution. Able to work shifts, weekends, and holidays. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to lift up to 80 lb. pails, bags, and boxes. Ability to walk up and down stairs and climb ladders. Move 500 lb. drums by tipping and rolling. Possesses physical strength and stamina to stand and walk for long periods Good hearing ability around moderate noise conditions. Ability to withstand cold and hot conditions within a plant environment. Ability to distinguish colors with good peripheral vision. Environment of moving mechanical parts Starting wages are: $23.74/hr on day shift (6a-2p) $23.99/hr on afternoon shift (2p-10p) $24.49/hr on weekends days/afternoons/night shift
