Oracle Professional Services Engineer - Opower in Helena, Montana
Job Description
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, confident in their abilities, fast-paced, loves challenge and lives and breathes custom development. This role will focus on providing & delivering tailored solutions that augment our utility client’s existing products and meet their unique needs. This involves analyzing requirements, developing custom integrations, writing custom code, configuring accounts, migrating data, troubleshooting and ensuring the product fits seamlessly into the client’s existing infrastructure.
Minimum Qualifications include the following:
BS in Computer Science or a related field.
Minimum five years of software development experience (Python or Ruby preferred)
Minimum five years of experience working with most of the following (OK if you are less experienced on a couple):
HTML/CSS
PL/SQL
JSON / RESTful Web Services
JavaScript / AJAX
React
Shell Scripting
Ruby APIs, Java APIs, GraphQL APIs
Oracle Database
Data Modeling
Web Development
Version Control (Git preferred, but not required)
Experience with UNIX systems and CLI
Knowledge in Cloud Computing, Infrastructure as Code & networking principles
Experience implementing secure software solutions
Proficiency in Oracle Responsys automation tool or similar platforms is a plus.
Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure & Apex is a bonus.
Experience working with Agile development frameworks.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate with individuals across the organization.
Ability to mentor junior developers.
Ability to prioritize and focus, with strict attention to detail.
Extremely proactive, highly organized, with ability to manage multiple tasks.
Maturity and professionalism, combined with a passion for creativity.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

US: Hiring Range: from $71,200 to $158,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
