Oracle Program Specialist, Content Operations & Alignment, Global Events in Helena, Montana

Job Description

Assist in the development and execution of corporate event marketing programs.

Assists in all aspects of pre-event program needs including but not limited to vendor selection and management, budget development and approvals, event registration and demand generation, venue selection and management (F & B, operations, etc.), event creative concept design and production. Manages all aspects of on-site event execution either directly or through outsourced vendors. Manages all post-event activities including development and execution of follow up plans for event attendees, uploading and tracking leads, wrap-up reports etc. Ensures that programs are executed successfully, efficiently and on budget so that customers experience a high degree of satisfaction in attending the event.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently with some assistance and guidance within defined policies and procedures. 2 years relevant experience. Marketing experience in the IT industry desired. Professional credentials in Marketing, Academic credentials desirable. Past experience in marketing, or event production/execution desirable.

The team’s main objective is to produce next-level event experiences that drive awareness of Oracle’s brand and deliver measurable business impact.

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Content and Resource Management, the Program Specialist, Content Operations and Alignment for Global Events is accountable for the delivery of content and related experiences across corporate global event and conference programming as aligned to Oracle’s in-person and digital events. These events include digital and in-person programs, ranging from 20-minute global digital announcements to conferences with multiple keynotes, hundreds of sessions, interstitial experiences, and more. Supported by the broader Global Events team, this role is responsible for the process development and project management of content delivery across channels, as defined and developed by the event leads for each of Oracle’s primary business portfolios. These channels include primary demand generation pathways, such as the web, email and social, as well as content catalogs and experiences for Oracle’s flagship in-person conferences, such as Oracle CloudWorld. This role would have both event production and operations expertise to efficiently collaborate with leaders across audience acquisition and content strategy, product, field and digital marketing and communications, operations and production, Oracle Studios, and others inside the team. This position can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada and will require some domestic and international travel (up to 25% of the time).

About You

You are a methodical, highly-organized, and inclusive project coordinator with experience working on both digital and physical events. You are passionate about building significant, customer-facing events and understand the value of flawless, easy-to-understand content experiences before, during and after an event. You may have a background in tech and are always thinking about things from the audience’s perspective, with an intuitive appreciation for the ways in which professionals like to learn. Ideally, you have three or more years of demonstrated experience coordinating events for major brands and developing novel processes to more efficiently lead those projects.

You have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and a degree of emotional intelligence. You’re able to balance a data-driven approach to process development and execution with ever-evolving business requirements. You operate best in a collaborative environment as part of a large virtual team, driving success through empathy and creative problem-solving.

You have excellent organizational and analytical skills, operating optimally with challenging deadlines and personalities. You are an effective presenter, and a great listener, with a talent for balancing priorities. You may have experience working with agency personnel and a familiarity with collaboration and productivity tools.


  • Coordinate, align, and facilitate delivery of content elements – such as web pages, content catalogs, agenda builders, and more – across strategic event channels

  • Develop and own content execution processes to effectively support the work of multiple cross-functional event teams

  • Be a customer advocate, ensuring content experiences, tools and practices meet their needs and expectations

  • Partner with event leaders to run external vendor resources as required, taking accountability for performance

  • Support an environment of accountability, collaboration, inclusion, and innovation by establishing strategic processes that meet the needs of Global Events programs and the organization as a whole

Skills & Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of event management experience in both digital and physical event marketing environments

  • Willingness to take calculated risks, while driving consensus across teams

  • Ability to operate effectively as part of large, sophisticated virtual team

  • Outstanding written and verbal English communication skills

  • Ability to balance the broader strategic picture with everyday execution
