Overview of Job Function

We’re looking for a strong communicator to join our growing team. The Communications Specialist will create, execute, and manage deliverables and projects that contribute to overall public market awareness for the Verint brand through traditional and digital PR tactics, including media relations, thought leadership, press releases, awards programming and collaborative efforts with customers, partners, influencers and industry analysts. This position will help develop consistent communications for outreach while creating content and opportunities for market awareness.

This role requires a flexible, highly organized individual who has experience in the technology industry and the ability to write compelling materials within deadlines that are aligned with company guidelines. In addition to exceptional writing skills and an eye for detail, the role requires strong interpersonal communications, project management, and critical thinking skills, along with the ability to work effectively across departments, business units and regions on multiple projects.

Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with PR team and subject matter experts across departments on media opportunities, byline articles, Q&A’s, social media, blogs, award submissions and other content.

  • Manage awards programming calendar--tracking deadlines, creating submissions and identifying new awards programs and opportunities for promotion of Verint and its solutions.

  • Support social media efforts including drafting posts, curating content and images.

  • Draft, manage approvals and distribute press releases through wire service, website and internal departments.

  • Assist with media monitoring using Cision; compile and distribute monthly media coverage newsletter to marketing organization.

  • Assist with project management of research projects.

  • Provide support for purchasing, routing, and tracking of invoices for projects and contractors.

    Minimum Requirements:

  • A four-year college degree with a concentration in public relations, communications, marketing, journalism or related area or equivalent years of work experience.

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience working in public relations and/or corporate communications positions in the technology or enterprise software industry

  • Excellent communication, research, writing, and presentation skills, with the ability to create content using presentations, interviews with subject matter experts, and other resources.

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment that spans different job functions, departments and geographies.

  • Strong proofreading skills and attention to detail, with the ability to spot and correct errors in consistency, facts, format, grammar, punctuation and spelling.

  • Strong time-management and project-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities and meet deadlines.

  • Effective team contributor and player, with the ability to work independently, effectively and proactively in a fast-paced deadline orientated environment.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (or similar desktop applications) with notably strong Word and PowerPoint skills.

  • Successful completion of a background screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC and Social Security verification.

  • Successful completion of a credit check necessary for those travel-related roles that will require the candidate to obtain the appropriate credit line required to travel.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience writing for different audiences.

  • Experience with social media.
