State of Montana Regional Resource Specialist (11711) in Helena, Montana

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities Division, Children’s Mental Health. This position oversees assigned statewide Medicaid and Non-Medicaid service programs for youth. Responsibilities include: managing the Supplemental Services Program (SSP) and System of Care Account (SOCA) funding and developing financial tracking and program adjustments; coordinating the research and identification of behavioral health resources for youth age 17 or older, youth with complex behavioral health service needs, and for youth discharging from out of state Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facilities; and responding to public inquiries or concerns about children’s mental health services or programs by contacting caregivers, by providing information, and/or by referring as appropriate. Qualifications for this Career Opportunity * * * Knowledge of Medicaid, youth service systems and community resources. * Knowledge of the principles of care coordination. * Ability to manage and adjust funding utilization. * Knowledge of the characteristics/symptoms of serious emotional disturbance in youth. * Meet minimum qualifications: o Bachelor’s degree in related human service field. o Four years of experience in health, behavioral health, or human services field, including complex cases. o Other combinations of directly related education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis. o Master’s degree preferred. * * How to Apply To be considered for a DPHHS position, submit the following required documents with your application on the State of Montana Careers website.
