Meta Security Risk Management Lead, Meta FinTech in Helena, Montana


Meta FinTech is the newest business division of Meta (formerly Facebook Inc.) leading all things related to financial services at Meta, including Facebook Pay, WhatsApp Payments, and the Novi digital wallet. We’re seeking deeply experienced security talent to help enable and safeguard financial services at a truly global scale. The MFT Security Program is simultaneously responsible for, (a) enabling the business to achieve its goals at scale and pace, (b) safeguarding the business against real world security risks, and (c) addressing the regulatory scrutiny the business faces. Our goal is to make Meta and MFT the premier place to work for cyber security, information security, and security engineering professionals. We are targeting experienced security talent, with the intent of hiring the best and brightest in security.We are seeking a passionate, deeply experienced Security Risk Management Lead with an in-depth understanding of the regulatory landscape facing the fintech industry and how that impacts Meta FinTech. The candidate will drive strong cross-functional engagement, assess program effectiveness, and develop roadmaps to increase program maturity. The candidate will communicate to key stakeholders the overall strategy for initiatives within the program.

Required Skills:

Security Risk Management Lead, Meta FinTech Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain an in-depth understanding of the broad fintech regulatory landscape impacting Meta and GRC domains

  2. Remain current with emerging regulatory sentiments as well as understand the impact of laws and regulations on Meta

  3. Define and assess the capabilities, maturities, and effectiveness of cybersecurity implementations

  4. Drive multiple cross-functional programs to bridge gaps and prepare for upcoming regulatory obligations (privacy, compliance, TPRM and audit initiatives) for Scaled ops and Global Ops

  5. Internally assess, evaluate and make recommendations to management regarding the adequacy of the security and compliance controls

  6. Review security architecture and relevant policies for the organization infrastructure, application and cyber resilience

  7. Drive communications strategy for the initiatives, qualitative and quantitative analysis of the program performance and track/ensure program and industry impact

  8. Explore new strategic opportunities, in the course of program management to inform the future roadmap, for leadership consideration

  9. Provide thought leadership and drive structure for the broader risk and compliance function, as well as for the team

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 10+ years of risk, compliance & audit experience in consulting, strategy, or equivalent program management experience within Facebook or in technology and non-technology company

  2. Knowledge of emerging technologies and regulations in the online content, AML and Fraud space

  3. Impeccable business judgment experience, along with a natural inclination to formulate hypotheses, design tests, and use problem-solving techniques to evaluate solutions

  4. Leadership skills in influencing and managing change

  5. Experience leveraging knowledge and skills across multiple ongoing programs and stakeholders to drive change, motivate teams and deliver or support to deliver initiatives

  6. Strength in cross-functional collaboration with demonstrated expertise in driving complex highly ambiguous programs with multiple stakeholders

  7. Experience facilitating brainstorming sessions to gather requirements

  8. Content creation and presentation skills – experience building and delivering executive leadership content

  9. Experience in a role to support and enable cross-functional stakeholders/teams within and beyond Scaled Operations

  10. Demonstrated track record in successfully managing ambitious, strategic, and operationally complex projects with internal and external (to SO) cross-functional teams
