Oracle Senior Cloud Engineer, UI/UX in Helena, Montana

Job Description

Partners with customers, sales, engineering and product teams to design, demonstrate and deploy Oracle Cloud architectures that address customer business problems. Drives Oracle Cloud customer consumption by accelerating the adoption of Oracle cloud services including discovery, design and deployment.

Responsible for participating in customer engagements to collaboratively design and implement solutions. May work directly with customers to gather requirements, develop architectures and translates business needs into solutions. Implements solutions and ensures successful deployments through code development and scripting. Displays product/application understanding through more customized presentation demonstrations to customers and at conferences and events. Supports customer from Proof of Concept (POC) through production deployment of services via resource configuration, planning, and customer education/training. Creates and distributes technical assets (white papers, solution code, blog posts, and video demonstrations). Serves as a technical point of contact for customers and sales on technical cloud solutions and customer success. Further builds business and technical acumen.

Minimum qualifications include: 5 years experience with computer applications and tools required. Ability to travel 25% international and domestic.

Preferred but not required qualifications include: Bachelor of Science-level university degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering from accredited university; and/or relevant 5 years technical experience. Expertise in system and application design; Written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; Needs analysis, positioning, and business justification; Solving technical problems with customers in technical environments.

Responsibilities

As a member of the Oracle Customer Experience Cloud Engineering Practice you will be engaged in Cloud User Experience and Interface design, development/implementation projects leveraging Oracle Content Experience, Visual Builder, Oracle Integration Cloud and Oracle Mobile Cloud Services as a lead or individual contributor.

The successful candidate will focus on helping customers realize the value of their Oracle investments through the architecture, design and delivery of projects using Oracle Public Cloud PaaS technologies and/or Oracle on premise technologies within the Digital Experience realm. The successful candidate will have:

  • Validated experience in large scale complex design and deployments helping multiple customers with UI design, development and deployment of Applications, Web Sites & Portals both Secure and Public facing.

  • Hands on project delivery and development experience in Java, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS.

  • Strong communication skills and consulting skills in the field of User Interface development to communicate ideas using low and high fidelity mockups (layout design and navigation, usability).

  • Have experience conducting customer engagement full project life cycles including requirements, design, implementation, testing and training for delivering user friendly, professional, visually effective user interfaces for applications.

  • Advise and influence customer management on UI/UX direction/decisions.

  • Ability to lead a team and work with remote/offshore resources.

  • Anticipate project risks and make corrective recommendations to the project manager.

  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 100% (candidate can reside anywhere in the US).

  • Degree in Computer Sciences or Business or equivalent. Balance of technical skills, functional knowledge and client consultative skills.

  • Has 6-8 years of experience relevant to this position including 3-4 years consulting experience preferred. Prior team lead or manager experience.

Additional skills and experience preferred:

  • Knowledge of one or more Oracle PaaS technologies (OCM, VBCS, OIC, Mobile) or competing PaaS technologies.

  • Knowledge of JScript UI Development Frameworks, e.g JET, node.js, React, etc.

  • Cloud Native Development and Mobile development.

  • Knowledge of Oracle WebCenter products.

  • Agile and Test driven development.

  • Experience building integrations with third party applications, security products (incl. Cloud Security).

  • Experience with Caching technologies.

  • Web Server, Application and Database server configuration management, administration and Performance Tuning.

  • Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or competing offerings like AWS/Azure.
