Senior DevOps Engineer

    Position:

This role is a key member of the DevOps Engineering Team supporting our Enterprise Imaging business.

The Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and rollout of automated infrastructure-as-code and deployment mechanisms supporting our Enterprise Imaging solutions in cloud environments. As an SME also providing technical direction, you have extensive, hands-on experience with the technologies to stand up, configure, and secure the infrastructure and applications to meet requirements.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, configure, and provide technical expertise on, application infrastructure in cloud environments

  • Develop, and provide technical expertise on, the automation of the deployment, scaling, and overall management of the software applications that run on the above infrastructure

  • Guide the design and development of reusable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) components

  • Review deployment scripts and IaC for quality assurance purposes; perform maintenance and updates due to changes in requirements or implementation

  • Prototype technology solutions and create technical design; review and advise on technical design specifications developed by colleagues

  • Work closely with architects to assure all systems are in line with the Enterprise Imaging long-term strategy

  • Assist in defining DevOps and related quality guidelines and standards, including testing across the life cycle

  • Ensure the compliance to all required standards, policies, and procedures for applications and tools

  • Create and maintain documentation as required for rollout and maintenance of deliverables

    Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering and/or software/solution architecture

  • 4+ years and a proven record of success in continuous delivery of cloud infrastructure and applications for enterprise SaaS or PaaS companies in public clouds such as AWS, GCP, Azure

  • Extensive knowledge and proven working experience with:

  • Cloud infrastructure, particularly Kubernetes, including deployment and monitoring of available, scalable, secure environments

  • One of more programming and scripting (e.g., Python, Go, Bash)

  • Infrastructure-as-code tools, specifically Terraform

  • Automation and configuration tools (e.g., Ansible, Kustomize)

  • Software containers, preferably Docker

  • Strong background in Linux and Windows administration

  • Strong background in network configuration and load balancing

  • Strong English communication skills (verbal and written) to interact effectively with peers, stakeholders, and clients within and outside the team

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in migrating products from on premise to cloud

  • Experience working across multiple boundaries including internal and external relationships management.

  • Capability of effectively negotiating with peers without direct authority

  • Experience with HIPAA compliance and the security of PHI data

  • Familiarity with healthcare IT standards as well as with healthcare workflows

Wage and Compliance:

New York and New Jersey Residents Only: The salary range for New York City, NY and Westchester County, NY is $122,590 - $237,600. The salary range for Ithaca, NY is $106,600 - $198,000. The salary range for Jersey City, NJ is $127,920 - $237,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Change Healthcare offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
