We are seeking a benefits professional with deep expertise in US health care to fill our Sr. Director, AMER Benefits role, a key leadership role in the Global Benefits Organization. Reporting directly to the VP, Global Benefits, you will drive strategy, innovation and execution on US and Canada health and welfare programs as well as provide direction and partnership of key global programs such as time off benefits.

You are an expert in US and Canada benefits and can effectively navigate the dynamics of a global benefits organization. You have strong business and financial acumen and have been accountable for developing and leading a multi-million dollar benefits budget. You are strategic, design-thinking minded and passionate about innovation while also willing to help get the work done. You can clearly translate vision into executable strategy and can energize and bring others along on your vision. You are skilled in establishing relationships with internal and external partners and actively focus on the growth and development of your team. You make thoughtful investments and a positive change agent on employee wellbeing. You are willing to adapt to our constantly evolving and high-growth environment while at the same time, help us grow and scale our Benefits Design COE.


  • Design, innovate and execute on health, welfare, and time off benefits to support our talent and corporate strategies

  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience of healthcare market (including value based care, PBM design/funding, healthcare access strategies) to create innovative health plan strategy focusing on the health of our population and employee experience.

  • Apply your expertise and knowledge of market conditions and driven talent landscape to design tailored benefit strategies and programs for a diverse employee population

  • Leads the selection and design of health care programs, life and disability and time off in partnership with our broker/partners and with an eye towards innovation, standard methodology, cost and value to employees

  • Build strong relationships with internal business partners by understanding interpersonal priorities and drive benefits initiatives to support those priorities

  • Uses financial data, vendor analysis and internal data analytics to elegantly and simply tell the story of the state of our benefits programs and derive impactful insights to inform vision and strategy

  • Reviews and analyzes the benefits market to determine employee needs, trends, regulations and practices, and develops competitive programs and services to meet company goals

  • Identify gaps, and spearhead improvements of our benefit programs

  • Ensure compliance with country-specific requirements such as COBRA, ACA, ERISA, and HIPAA and other regional, country, federal, state, and local regulatory requirements

  • Using Salesforce Great Manager characteristics, support virtual team including priority alignment, personal and professional development.

  • Finance, Legal, Procurement

  • ES COEs, including M&A team

  • ESBPs

  • Other internal partners, PR partners

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proven success leading teams in a high growth, large company (20+% YoY growth).

  • 20 + years of experience managing and designing US and Canada benefits programs and at least 5 years of leading the vision and execution of health plan strategy and management/leadership experience

  • A successful track record of working effectively in a highly matrixed and fast growing organization

  • Successful management and accountability of a multi-million dollar benefits budget

  • Expertise in multi-year strategic benefits planning and program design throughout the lifecycle of a benefits program

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources/related field or meaningful experience

  • Experience assessing, selecting, and managing outstanding partners and vendors

  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential

  • CEBS certification
