What you’ll be doing…

The Senior Director, Innovation Consulting Strategic Accounts is a senior level consultative leader and manager that works closely with internal partners in Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Professional Services to create and execute a portfolio of offerings to help strategic customers transform their decision making and build data culture. This leader will drive the definition of compelling customer offerings, lead the team’s thought leadership content development to establish the credibility and validity of Tableau’s position on data culture, and lead execution of a pipeline of projects and engagements with customers. They will engage with senior customer executives at global strategic accounts to build the business case for these organizations to invest in building a data culture. This visionary leader will recruit and manage a team of diverse professionals who will develop new and innovative customer engagements, conduct and publish research and thought leadership materials around data culture and business results, and drive customer investment through transformational engagements.

Some of the things you’ll be doing include …

  • Structure a clear strategy and customer engagement process

  • Create end-to-end pipeline management of offerings around transforming decision making and data culture.

  • Manage a portfolio of evolving customer workshops and other offerings, aligned with customer needs

  • Become an internal resource center: collect and document evidence of how customers have been successful with data culture, with evidence of business results, such that Tableau and its customers have clear templates to succeed at data culture.

  • Partner with Strategic Customers

  • Develop a systematic and proactive effort to engage with Tableau’s top customers to drive their innovation and adoption of data culture and document the resulting business value.

  • Lead customer executive discussions about data culture, leading to deeper customer engagements

  • Conduct executive workshops to build an analytics strategy roadmap and map out current decision making processes.

  • Create business cases around the impact of building a data culture and tying it back to business outcomes.

  • Work across the organization to lead around data culture

  • Identify partners who can help customers build an analytics strategy

  • Work with Tableau Services to harmonize Tableau Advisory Services offerings

  • Disseminate customer evidence and frameworks on data culture transformation and serve as a subject matter expert to marketing and other departments around data culture, so that Tableau’s communications seamlessly flow to execution with customers.

Who you are…

  • Experienced. 10+ years in one or more of the following: Data Strategy, driving data transformation, transforming organizational decision making, conducting innovation engagements with customers.

  • Customer Focused. Experienced in customer-facing roles. Comfort in engaging with senior executives and strong executive presentation and workshop skills, and commit to customer outcomes.

  • Builds Relationships . Strong relationship-building skills, situational awareness in handling objections, and ability to grow and cultivate relationships with customers and internal partners.

  • Consultative . Strong discovery and probing skills and comfortable with strategy and execution.

  • Communicates with Excellence . Strong verbal and written communication of qualitative and quantitative business cases.

  • Inspiring Leader. Natural leader and self starter who can lead with authority, coordinate multiple efforts towards common goal, and help other team members to excel in their work by knowledge transferring/sharing.
