 JOB SUMMARY

The Sr. Manager, Mobile App Analytics provides analytical support to the Mobile App organization and evaluates the performance of Mobile App to inform product direction . We are looking for an experienced Analytics leader, with a unique combination of analytical, technical and leadership skills to implement our Native App analytics solutions. In this role, you will provide digital analytics support to our Mobile App product managers and developers. You will provide thought leadership on how to leverage digital analytics and Adobe data to drive better decisions across the company. An ideal candidate should have strong consultative and relationship management skills. This person should also be knowledgeable in the latest digital analytics solutions and technologies. The Sr. Manager operates with considerable independence, develops analytics strategies and roadmap to deliver insights and knowledge for action, while managing multiple competing priorities and stakeholders. This position is part of the broader Global Insight, Strategy + Analytics team, which is charged with developing and utilizing state-of-the-art analytic approaches to generate business intelligence about customer attitudes and behaviors across all customer-facing touch points along the B2C and B2B customer journeys.

This position is remote and candidate can reside anywhere in US.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience Required

  • 4-year degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Operations Research, Business or Math or other quantitative discipline

  • 5+ years’ experience in product, customer, or other related analytics fields, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance

  • Experience gathering and manipulating data with SQL. Experience analyzing large data sets in Python, R, or SAS, and visualizing outputs in Tableau

  • Experience with Adobe Analytics/Google Analytics/Tag management systems

  • Familiarity with A/B testing concepts and analysis

Education and Experience Preferred

  • Advanced degree in operations research, applied mathematics, statistics, economics, business analytics, engineering etc.,

  • Experience with Digital Analytics including leading, designing, and analyzing marketing or digital experimentation (A/B or MVT) to improve the customer experience

  • Strong data analysis skills and experience required, including querying and manipulation of billions of records of data, independently structuring analysis and synthesizing large volumes of complex information from multiple sources, synthesizing insights into stellar visualizations, and applying strong knowledge of statistical analysis techniques

  • Experience with data science including building machine learning models to discover trends and patterns, and building data products to extract valuable business insights

  • Experience of statistical methods with regards to study design and analysis

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with associates having business or technical backgrounds

  • Demonstrated ability to articulate clearly and present complex issues to associates at all organizational levels

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Develop product analytics capability to serve needs including

  • Identify, align on, and analyze meaningful KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to drive performance across Mobile App

  • Design and own effective dashboards & reports to support analytics capabilities and provide insights as well as recommendations for changes

  • Establish and share best practices around Mobile App product analytics

  • Define benchmarks to provide stakeholders with the ability to monitor product performance in an actionable way

  • Conduct customer analysis and link Mobile App customers to broader Marriott Loyalty and Marketing ecosystem to drive decision making

  • Support ad hoc analysis as required across the Mobile App leadership team

  • Develop Mobile App analytics data standard to ensure the right information is captured, useful metrics are measured, and actionable insights can be derived

  • Partner with the Digital Experiment and Mobile App Product team to support A/B testing setup, implementation and measurement

  • Work with Adobe tagging and Digital data engineering team to define data tracking requirements

  • Stay abreast of the latest technologies and techniques in the Mobile App analytics industry

  • Convince key decision makers of business benefits of the proposed solutions using Advanced Analytics

  • Continually enhance and evolve our Mobile App analytics processes and tools

  • Lead the incorporation and study of new sources of data to improve the quality of our analysis

  • Collaborate across organization boundaries including Mobile App Product, Loyalty Marketing, Digital Merchandising, and Advanced Data Science team to define analytics strategies

  • Work with Digital Data Engineering team and Site tagging team to create processes for audits to ensure Mobile App data is captured accurately with high quality

  • Manages small software development projects and provides support to larger scale departmental initiatives

  • Provides training and technical guidance to less senior staff, where appropriate, and serving as point-of-contact for problem resolution
